The space Welcome to Villa Safir! Our home has all the amenities needed for a great vacation! To mention just a few: it is fully air-conditioned, has a complete security system, excellent free WiFi and hot water in the showers. It's spacious interior is beautiful and comfortable. The villas consists of a house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and has a studio connected through the living area with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, and a living area with a sofabed. This means we accommodate up to 9 adult guests (we can add a pack and play for your little one as well), or 8 adults and 2 children. One of the bathrooms has a bathtub, which is great for smaller children. The living room has a flat screen TV, and all bedrooms have their own TV as well. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances including a double sized refrigerator AND a small sized refrigerator for beverages, dishwasher, gas stove and cook top, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, blender as well as plates and cookware. As mentioned, the 4th bedroom is a private studio connected to the living area, it has an ensuite bathroom, and has a great private outdoor garden with patio, so it is a great master bedroom. The studio has an extra kitchen with fridge and an extra washing machine, which is also a great benefit. The living area of this studio can convert in a 5th bedroom with a pull out sofa (see photos). This sofa could sleep 1 adult or 2 children. The home has a laundry room with a washer and dryer, where we also have beach chairs and a cooler for you. The glass sliding doors open onto an outside patio at the rear of the property with 2 steps to your own refreshing swimming pool. The pool and garden is private and not shared. We have a great gas BBQ for you so you can spend some great family time in the yard. The property is fully fenced with soft lighting for the evenings. There is private parking inside the property. Safir Villa is conveniently located just 15 minutes away from the capital of Oranjestad for dining, shopping, sightseeing and a cruise ship terminal. Groceries and liquor are available at the Wei Ming Supermarket, located only 1-2 minutes from Safir. Other amenities within close distance to this vacation home include two Robert Trent Jones golf courses, Aruba's most popular beaches, Palm Beach and Eagle Beach and the snorkeling destinations of Arashi and Malmok Beaches. It is also close to the Wind and Kite surfing location at the Fishermen's huts. These popular beaches are a 3 minute drive away. No shared spaces, the entire home is fenced in and private. Other things to note We highly recommend you take out travel insurance as soon as you book your trip as this provides you with immediate cover for unforeseen emergencies. Travel insurance helps cover financial losses associated with surprise circumstances that could ruin a trip, including illness, injury, accidents, flight or other transportation delays, and other issues. Please understand that if you do not have travel insurance, any losses because of emergencies will be at your own risk and we uphold our VRBO or Airbnb cancellation policy and only refund according to those policies. Your water and electricity is INCLUDED in your rental. However, we do take meter readings and ask our guests to be energy concious and report running toilets, turn off AC when the rooms are not in use. On behalf of Casa Mia, we place a ‘welcome package’ in your home for the first few days of your rental. These items include toilet paper (2 rolls per toilet), kitchen paper (1), dishwashing sponge (1), dishwashing liquid, handsoap and garbage bags (5). We also have coffee, sugar, tea, coffee filters and some detergent for the a few washes. Our homes also have a decent amount of condiments and spices for cooking. These items come and go, so the inventory is not consistent. Should any of these items run out during your stay, you would have to purchase these at your own expense. We also provide linen for the beds, 1 big and one small bath towel and 1 one beach towel per guest, a cooler and beach chairs to take to the beach. We do not provide an umbrella since they tend to be hazardous with the strong winds in Aruba, they break within a day. All watersport huts rent lounge chairs and large heavy duty parasols. We might have inflatable pool floats or other things like snorkel masks, however, guests also break them and loose them all the time, other guests do leave some again, so we cannot guarantee their presence. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board are present in our home. We do not supply washcloths, shampoo, body wash and conditioner in our bathrooms. CAR RENTAL: We highly recommend renting a car while on vacation in Aruba. The heat makes even small distances uncomfortable to walk, especially carrying beach chairs, towels, coolers, beach bag, floats and other things that make your beach time more enjoyable. Getting sunburned walking back from the beach may negatively affect your entire vacation. Furthermore, the roads are a bit dark at night and since everyone drives everywhere, most roads have no sidewalks so you walk in the sand next to the roads. Driving is easy in Aruba! Traffic is slow and the island is very small (you drive from one tip of the island to the other tip in 45 minutes!) so you can't really get lost. And maybe the most import reason to rent a car: you will get to see so much more of Aruba and make the most out of your vacation. TAXI SERVICE: Taxi service is great, very fast and safe, but leaving the house a few times a day for groceries, beach visits and restaurants might cost more in the end than renting a car, so you might as well rent a car and enjoy the luxury to have 24 hour transportation at your fingertips. Please be aware taxis are not allowed to take on more than 5 passengers, so for large groups it will cost you 4 taxis for a round trip out of the house.
