This light-filled Log Home on four wooded acres is very private. It has a hot tub and lake access on David Pond just down the road. It is about 1750 square feet of charming space on three levels, with a sleeping space on each level, and is very quiet! It is surrounded by forest and is not visible from the road or from any other homes. When you stay here, you cannot see any other homes or ambient light, so it is great for stargazing! From outside of Maine? Two-week minimum stay in 2020. The space The Log Home has a wonderful feel, with its wide plank pumpkin pine floors, cathedral ceiling, and large windows that let in the light. It is about 1750 square feet of space on three floors. The top floor is a loft with a master bedroom, half bath, and a sitting area. The bed is a queen sized timber bed! The love seat in the sitting area opens into a single bed. There is also a window air conditioner. The middle floor is the living room, kitchen, dining area (open concept), a bedroom with a log double bed/twin bunk above and window air conditioner, and a full bath. The ground level floor is a family/TV room that can serve as a third bedroom. The futon opens into a double bed. There is also a Life Fitness Treadmill with Flex Deck to go easy on your knees, spa quality. There are some games and some hand and leg weights, and a washer and dryer are available in the next room The main (middle) level is surrounded by a large wrap-around deck with deck furniture and a gas barbecue grill. An extra tank of propane is standing by just to make sure your dinner plans are not foiled! Guest access Entire house and yard, plus access to David Pond at the shared lot down the road. At the shared lot, there is a long dock, a float that you can swim to, a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and kayak/canoe rack, and a picnic table. Other things to note In the winter, the driving conditions and the road can be challenging. If you visit in winter, please bring the most aggressive vehicle you can. Four wheel drive is best, all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive work. It really depends on the weather.
