The Cabin on the Ridge

Nestled in the woods on top of a ridge in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. Convenient to Boone, (12 minutes to App State) Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather Mountain. Privately located log cabin, yet minutes to shopping and restaurants. We are a quiet family neighborhood/resort and do not allow house parties. We require the responsible party renting our cabin be over 25 years of age. The space We are located about 8 miles from App State and Sugar Mountain and 15 miles from Beech Mountain. Easy access on 105 to 184. The mountains of North Carolina offer a relief from the summer heat. Prepare for the temperatures to be 10-15 degrees cooler than in the Piedmont. For summer rentals please note that this log cabin is not air conditioned. We find that positioned on top of our ridge, and the tremendous amount of shade trees, it is cool even in the warmest time of the summer. Even in the summer you will definitely want to pack a warm sweater, and some warm slippers. How nice to stay in a home with open windows and a cool breeze! Our large back deck is gated and a great place for small children to safely play. This cabin is located in a very private section of our community, yet easy access to shopping and restaurants. The pool in the community is available for your use. Be sure and ask for the code to the door. Our cabin is a very cozy and warm winter spot; the wood burning log fireplace will definitely warm your spirit after a day on the ski slopes. Please note that we do not provide firewood. We recommend stoping at Lowe’s or Ingles (or store of your choice) to pick up bundles of wood on your way in. Also, note that we do not add an additional cleaning fee to your booking. While we do not accept pets, it is important to know that we are NOT a pet free environment, people with allergies to pets should be aware. Guest access As our guests, you will have access to all common areas in the community; hiking trails, community pool (May- August), tennis courts and river access. Other things to note Our community has an office that is staffed Monday to Friday. Pleasant people are willing to help with directions or questions. Please note that we do not rent you anyone under the age of 25.
