DOG friendly $25 Pet Fee..NOT CATS The space The Little Cabin is situated close to Strawberry Creek in the Fern Valley area of Idyllwild, nestled just below Lily Rock and Tahquitz Peak. It is a quaint, private cabin complete with wood burning stove, mini-split AC, full kitchen with 4 burner stovetop and oven, microwave, coffee maker, and large outdoor BBQ. The inside decor is a rustic Southwestern flair with beautiful local hand made Pine Craft furniture by Idyllwild’s legendary Seldon Beldon. There are no adjoining dwellings and is situated on just under an acre of fenced in land. It’s your option to keep the gate closed but a good idea if pets are with you. There is plenty of space and privacy around the Little Cabin to enjoy, as well as a magnificent view of the mountain ridge surrounding the valley. There is even a small apple and pear orchard in the back, bearing fruit seasonally! Guest access Look for ‘The Little Cabin’ sign then come through the gate and up the driveway, past a small shed. Driveway curves to left, parking area in front of cabin. If snow is high you may want to park further down the driveway and walk up. There are no stair steps to front door and unit is a single story. Handicap accessible. Other things to note We are dog friendly. With an extra $25 pet fee. We ask that pets stay close to cabin or with you while outdoors. You are welcome to roam the property and gate can be closed if desired. Please keep pets off furniture (bed, couch, chairs) and please pick up after your pooch (bags provided) thank you! “NO CATS” During snow season we recommend chains or 4WD. Fern Valley Rd and Lodge Rd are plowed regularly, but the driveway can get a lot of snow. The driveway to the Little Cabin is fully reserved for guests so please park as far in as you can easily park and it’s ok to block driveway as no one else will be using it. you should be advised to offload belongings and park closer to gate if we are expecting a big storm. We can get 2-3’ overnight easily! There are two highways to Idyllwild. One is the 243 from Banning and the I-10 freeway. The other is the 243 through Mountain Center if coming from direction of Hemet or Garner Valley. You may want to check the Caltrans website if needed for current road conditions (mostly during winter for chains advisory).
