We are three blocks from the Cable Car that takes you to El Alto and the south. Breathtaking views of the city, such as the lookout point in “El Montículo”. Sopocachi is the SoHo of La Paz, with a very bohemian atmosphere and interesting, artsy people walking the streets. Our patio is a great place to chill out and relax after a long day of sightseeing. We are strategically located, close to the city´s center (north) as well as the tourist attractions in the southern part of the city. The space The GreenHouse is a brand new hostel that opened for Halloween of 2016. When the patrimonial house that was built by one of the partner´s grandfather became available in the market, opportunity knocked. The house was built in the 1950´s, when Bolivia was undergoing one of Latin America´s three most important revolutions (after the Mexican and Cuban). The house is a beautiful example of Sopocachi´s architecture. The space is full of sunlight, with large windows and a covered patio with a grill and bar that is perfect for relaxing after a long day. The owners are fun loving guys, who speak perfect English and love to watch sports. A large screen TV in the patio and a bar will make you fall in love with the GreenHouse. Guest access The free breakfast is served in the patio/bar. If you need to use the microwave or kitchen, please feel free to help yourself. We have seven showers, with hot water 24/7. Hangout after a long day in our lounge, with a flat screen TV with Direct TV. Other things to note Sopocachi is quickly becoming the trendy and safe tourist neighborhood in La Paz. If you want to go to Mongos or La Costilla de Adan, two very popular bars, your best bet is to star in the Greenhouse. Our bar is also very cozy. We have restaurants all over the place, and great sightseeing points. We are surrounded by police stations, NGOs, United Nations offices, Canadian Consulate, supermarkets, pharmacies, hospitals and public transportation.
