Private, cozy, quiet one-bedroom cottage nestled behind the main house, located in one of Oakland’s best neighborhoods. Experience the beauty of Lake Merritt, just two blocks away, enjoy easy access to transportation, the Grand Lake theatre, great restaurants, shops, and the best farmers market in the East Bay. The space The cottage has recently been renovated. The open floor plan is welcoming, with a mix of old-world charm and some modern amenities. The living area features lots of sunlight, comfy furniture, a couch, a large 42” smart HDTV, and WiFi. Just off the living area is a small dining set for two. The open kitchen has granite countertops and stainless appliances, which include a refrigerator/freezer, gas stove, microwave, and coffee maker. It is stocked with dishes, silverware, spices, and tools necessary to cook a delicious meal. There also is coffee and a variety of complimentary teas. Off the kitchen is a small office nook with a desk and chair leading to the bedroom. The bedroom access has three steps up and is cozy and comfortable, with a queen-sized bed, dresser, and closet. View of neighbor's trees outside with birds occasionally chirping - I'm not kidding :) Lastly, there is a small full bathroom, tub, and shower, with towels, a hair dryer, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner! The cottage is charming and cozy, offering guests a private and comfortable place to rest and relax. Guest access The cottage is nestled behind the main house. It is completely separate from the main house and is directly accessible from the street, which allows guests to come and go at their leisure. The cottage also has a dedicated parking spot.
