The Sawmill Suite

This downstairs space of the house has many amenities that include but are not limited to a high-quality bed, heated floors, waterfall shower with stone floor, full kitchen for cooking, outdoor seating, shared outdoor fire pit (wood provided), beautiful grass yard, and more. The building is a duplex with a unit upstairs and a unit downstairs. It is likely you could hear upstairs guests, specifically during their water use when showering or washing laundry. Talkeetna is 2.5 hrs from Denali NP The space The Sawmill Suite was formerly a sawmill owned by a local man that cut most of the lumber that is holding it up today. We have now made it into a modern and cozy feeling rental space where people can come get away and enjoy the beauty all around. We have access to world-class fly-fishing just 3 miles down the road at Montana Creek. With your stay you also have access to local lakes, walking trails, and Denali Brewing Company's tasting room all within a mile or two of the front door. Guest access Our personal garage space attached to the suite is locked to all guests. However, we give access when laundry services are requested. I send a reminder to guests that the request must be before your 4pm check-in time. If requested after 4pm for a 1 night stay, you are not guaranteed access. Other things to note As you can see in the listing, the queen bed is up a ladder in a loft. This can be difficult for some seniors to access. The sofa bed is a FULL size mattress with a foam topper. We recommend it’s suitable for two children or one adult but possibly not two adults. However, some guests find it more than adequate.
