This beautiful, restored cabin is a nature lover's Paradise with a babbling brook that offers solace for the body and soul. It is a retreat that will allow you to feel the presence of God as you relax and take deep breaths! Walking & hiking trails nearby connect to the nearby Conestoga Trail system, Susquehanna River, and The Pinnacle. Enjoy an original Stone gas FRPL The space This space is perfect for honeymooners, married couples, weekend getaway/anniversary, small groups and small families. Privately tucked along a gurgling brook, it offers respite to any nature lover! Wake up to the warble of songbirds, or the crunch of an Amish horse & buggy. This cozy home offers a Spacious Bedroom with a Queen bed, and a 2nd, smaller bedroom with a single trundle bed. The kitchen is sufficiently stocked (pots, dishes, drip coffee maker, small refrig, microwave oven, and an antique stove, but no working oven). An original, restored floor-to-ceiling Fireplace Mantle graces one end of the vaulted Living Room. The modern thermostat controlled Gas Fireplace adds a cozy feature to the living space, and is the primary source for heat. Thermostat controlled Electric baseboard heaters can also be utilized. It boasts a quaint little bathroom (with a claw-foot vintage tub with a detachable shower nozzle) and a fully stocked custom kitchen designed to resemble the early 1900's! Sheets and towels are provided. You may expect to very quickly fall in love with the rippling creek that runs through the backyard and with the cozy romantic cabin atmosphere. Several patio spaces allow for sunny spaces and lounging. A firepit beckons an outdoorsy cooking or fireside event experience. Out front, a meandering stone pathway leads you to the cabin's original refrigerator across the the street; the unique stone springhouse with an ever-flowing fresh source of water to cool your drinks. Also across the street, in the corner of the little open meadow, you will find an enchanting path heading uphill, connecting to the Blue-marked Conestoga Trail system. It's a great hike and place to explore the expansive Lancaster County Conservatory forests. Take a Right at the cabin on Tucquan Glen Rd, go to the stop sign on River Rd, and not far away, you will find The Seven Crossings Trail, one of Lancaster County's best kept secrets, winding from River Rd to the Susquehanna River, The Pinnacle, overlooking the Susquehanna River's deepest point, is just up the hill on River Rd, and offers incredible views and hiking options for the avid outdoors person! We hope you will be blessed and be able to tune in to the whispers of God during your stay. Guest access Fiber Optic WIFI is available, and provides phone cell service. We give you the door code so that you can then check in and check out yourself. Neighbors are sparse, and the Lancaster County shopping malls and Amish country are a scenic 30 minute drive away. The cabin is one half hour from where we are located, so you will receive complete instructions on how to unlock the cabin and close it up again. There is a land line phone at the cabin where you may call our number if you have any questions. Other things to note The indoor fireplace is propane operated, and as easy to turn on and off as a remote can be! There is also an outdoor fire pit, as well as an outdoor charcoal grill. Bring your own charcoal.
