120 year old original coal miner's house. The bedroom very simple. Queen sleigh bed, desk, dresser & AC. Full access to kitchen, laundry, living room, 85" TV. I have a new ATV, boat, & 2 kayaks. I love to give free tours and new adventures along the pristine sandy beaches & along famous ocean cliffs & bluffs beside us & see old army installations. Private areas that you would never see without a local. *The shared bathroom has a sit only bathtub with a shower head to rinse off. The space The open ocean is near with amazing private sandy beaches and coastal bluffs is a beautiful 7 min walk through open fields beside a small stream that is possible to see deer, foxes, pheasants, eagles, hawks, ducks and song birds of all types. Directly in front of me are the remains of the historic steel mill that was closed in 1920. During the war it was responsible for half of the Canadian military's steel requirements. This is NOT a luxury home Airbnb expierence. To be honest it is not really even a nice house. It is an authentic Cape Breton old coal miner home expierence mixed with a beach house feel. I do not have any areas off limits and I try to make everyone as comfortable and welcomed here as they are in their own house. I prefer guests that are engaging and want to enjoy the experiences I can provide. I do not really do this for the money. I do this because I love to share the beauty all around me. I am also available most of the time to travel with you and be your guide around the Cabot trail or Fort Louisburg or the Wildlife park or whatever adventure we can find. I have a 6 person hot tub, brand new boat, ATV, & 2 kayaks and weather permitting they are almost always available. I have a few surprises I have not listed but if you read the reviews you might see some of them. If you wanted just a bed and continue on your journey there are many other more beautiful Airbnb's around me that would probably suit you better. But if you want an expierence you will never forget, I promise you I can provide that. During your stay I live here by myself and home most of the time. I grew up on a 1000 acre farm in Alberta and have stayed in many Airbnb's myself and I learned a lot from that. My highest priority is that guest are perfectly comfortable and enjoy their stay. Nothing in my house is off limits. Breakfasts items including bacon and eggs, cereal, porridge, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, snacks, and more, are provided free. I can even cook it for you if needed. The stairs to the bathroom and bedroom are very steep, so please consider this when booking.
