Roseland Retreat at Open Heart Inn

Welcome to your country retreat! This unique property was originally built in 1840, and comes with 10 acres of farmland to explore. Relax on the back deck, take in the dogwoods and beautiful flowers, and get away from it all! Located minutes from the Appalachian Trail, Devil's Backbone, and much more, we are ideally located to explore the trails, breweries, and wineries of scenic Nelson County. The space This gorgeous two bedroom guest suite comes with its very own separate entrance, a sitting area with a kitchenette including a wet bar, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge, two spacious bedrooms and two private bathrooms. Both bedrooms feature oversized closets, desks, and cozy loveseats to curl up with a good book. The king-size beds feature fluffy comforters, cozy pillows, and microfiber sheets. The upstairs bedroom has two beds- a king size and double bed. The downstairs bedroom has a king size plus a sleeper sofa. For larger groups we also have a luxe queen-sized air mattress and the couch in the sitting room is very comfortable for sleeping. We are family and baby friendly and there is a pack n play and other baby items in the closet if needed. Access to your suite is convenient and secure- we have electronic key pads so you don’t even have to worry about keys. For all our guests we supply coffee, tea, filters, sugar, and creamer on the house, and the sitting room has a good collection of board games along with brochures and reading materials about local sites and attractions. The bathrooms come fully stocked with fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup wipes, hair dryers and more! We love hosting guests at our historic property and are available if you need anything extra. Guest access Feel free to roam our 10 acres, kick it on the back deck, or lounge in the detached living room, complete with a wet bar, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. We provide coffee, tea, cream, and sugar, plus dishes, silverware, mugs, wine glasses and a cork screw! Other things to note Please note that this is a very rural area- many cell phone providers may not have service and our internet connection is not very fast. Your suite does not include a full kitchen, only a mini fridge, microwave, sink, and coffee maker. The owners or guests may be staying in a separate wing of the house, but there is “buffer” room that is locked in between the two wings of the house.
