Nestled in peaceful Upstate N.Y., between Finger Lakes Wine Country and Lake Ontario and right in the heart of the Erie Canal is the Peppermint Cottage. The Peppermint Cottage is a unique destination. The Peppermint Cottage is a place for guests to “Step Back in Time” and experience the simple pleasures of life including a warm fire, relaxing under the stars in a hot tub, sauna or strolling our gardens. Family friendly establishment. Birders, bicyclists and outdoor enthusiasts welcome. The space The Peppermint Cottage has a private entrance. It is a completely furnished, two-story, three bedroom bungalow. As of Spring 2023, we have added a new bedroom on the main floor. Queen bed, reading chair, and a large window to view a variety of birds. The first floor living space has a cozy Adirondack charm with its colonial beehive fireplace as the centerpiece. The living area also features cherry paneling that dates back nearly 200 years. Our Cottage kitchen is equipped with guests in mind. Fresh farm eggs, coffee and tea are available. You are welcome to the gas grill on the kitchen deck, and outdoor table in courtyard for your breakfast or an evening meal. Beside the Cottage is a fire pit and chairs to unwind after a day in the Finger Lakes Region. A guitar is available upon request. “The acoustics are incredible… violins and guitars never sounded better,” says owner Mark De Cracker, who has written songs within the inspirational walls. The Peppermint Cottage, with its touch of the Adirondacks, is not only a great romantic getaway, it is also a very inspiring one. Upstairs, the master bedroom is carpeted and has a queen bed, skylight and TV. The adjoining bedroom has a full bed and a single. Guest access The Peppermint Cottage has a kitchen with stove, microwave and refrigerator for guests' use. It also has a colonial beehive fireplace with a bread oven.
