Relax in the Western Maine Foothills at our cabin on Jewett Pond. The main cabin has 672 sq ft of finished living space with bedroom (queen bed), bathroom, basic kitchen, great room (queen sleeper sofa), and screened porch. There is an additional rustic bunkhouse with two twin beds. This space is ideal for a couple or adventurous family who enjoys swimming, canoeing, hiking, fishing, or sitting on the screened porch with a good book and pine forest backdrop. Canoe included with booking. The space The property is a 1.5 acre parcel in North Waterford Maine with 40 feet of private frontage on Jewett Pond . The original structure on the property is a rustic 12' X 16' building that now serves as a bunkhouse. We started our Air BNB journey with this building and no running water. You'll notice some reviews reflect this building only. The new main cabin has 672 sq ft of living space and was added in 2023 with amenities including running water, heat, basic kitchen, WIFI, and TV with streaming options. The bedroom has a queen bed, closet, and blackout blinds. Bathroom has standing shower and a full sized washer/dryer are available. The kitchen has essentials including microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, two burner convection stove-top and pots/pans/dishes/silverware. The great room features a queen sofa bed, two chairs, and 43 inch smart TV where you may connect to your favorite streaming service. Outside you will find a large picnic table, fire pit, and plenty of space to pitch a tent if you prefer. Jewett pond is a 32 acre pond ideal for canoes and kayaks. Fishery includes bass, pickerel and perch. There are other cabins nearby but no public access to Jewett Pond. You will have complete and sole access to our property and cabins during your stay. Guest access You will have complete access to our property which includes main cabin, bunkhouse, and 40 ft of waterfront. The waterfront is cleared and there is a small dock. Jewett Pond is the perfect size for canoeing or kayaking. There is a canoe on the property which you may use while you are there. There are two paddles and 2 adult sized personal flotation devices. Other things to note For activities, we would highly suggest a canoe ride around the pond and a hike. There is a canoe there your use that includes two paddles and two adult personal flotation devices. Look for painted turtles on your canoe trip - they like to sunbathe on rocks and logs partially submerged in the pond. There are several nearby easy hikes. Hawk Mountain has some of the best views and is an easy 0.7 miles to the top. Mount Ti'rem is a short hike that begins from "downtown" Waterford. Back Pond Preserve is closer to the site and is even walkable from our lot if you are looking for a longer hike
