Home in St. Louis County
Description
Welcome to this cozy suburban home in charming Kirkwood, a quiet and safe suburb of St. Louis. The home offers two private second-floor bedrooms with a shared bathroom, separated by a door at the stairway for added privacy and sound buffering. We provide homestyle suppers, plus breakfast essentials like fruit, cereal, yogurt, and eggs. Ideal for traveling medical professionals and students, this room includes a full-size bed, desk, and dresser. The space We want to host longer term stays, minimum 30 days, for students, travel nurses, or trainees in this area who need short term housing and don't want to rent an apartment and furniture and pay all the utilities. Our home is 4 minutes by car to I-270, the major connector highway; 15 minutes by car to most universities, hospitals, and the Edward Jones training facility. Guest access Guests will receive a key to our front door, and will enter the house and walk through the dining room in order to reach the door to the second floor. Once on the second floor with the door closed (see photos), there is complete privacy from the rest of the house. We respect guests' wishes regarding interacting with us, or the other guest a little, or a lot. During your stay We try to provide a very home-like atmosphere for our guests. We only accept reservations of 30 days or more so that students, interns and travel workers can have a comfortable and safe home base that does not feel like a hotel, but more like staying with friends. Other things to note We have two very spoiled smallish dogs. They bark and play and jump up to greet everyone. They are not allowed on the 2nd floor where the guest rooms are. If you love dogs, you will love them, but if you are iffy about dogs, this is not the place. Also, we provide early morning and afternoon childcare for our two older elementary school grandchildren.
