Secluded mountain paradise off the beaten path. Come stay at our unique little home in the mountains. Come unplug and enjoy nature. Four-Wheel Drive Required as early as September and as late as May. If there is any snow you will not be able to get in or out of the house without a high clearance four-wheel drive vehicle. The last 3/4 of a mile to the house is an unmaintained private dirt drive that is inaccessible without high clearance four-wheel drive vehicle. The space The house is a simple home on 10 acres, it was built in 1979 by a man who was "earth friendly". When you first walk into the home you will see his unique passive solar heating system. The main floor has large windows which show off an amazing southern view and on clear days you can see Pike's Peak off in the distance. There are no fences on our property, you will see lots of wildlife, deer, fox, rabbits, birds, humming birds, wild turkeys, occasional black bears, raccoons, mountain lions. Our caretakers have a friendly you medium sized dog named Lemon. There is a chicken coop below the deck and we have 13 chickens who provide fresh eggs almost daily. (our caretakers will open and close their outside run daily) The house does have Starlink Internet. We also have a Roku connected to the tv where you can log into your personal streaming services and watch tv There is no landline at the property and cell phone reception varies from company to company. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. The property is right on the edge of coverage area for most providers. NO SMOKING in the house. House broken dogs are allowed. please let us know if you will be bringing a pet Guest access You will have access the entire main house. There is a two car garage and barn with studio loft that you will not have access to. We have caretakers that live full time in the studio loft. Other things to note We have a amazing southern view and on clear nights have a great view of the stars, moon, planets. -There is a medium sized telescope that is great for viewing the moon, Mars, Jupiter and it's moons, Saturn, etc. Please be very careful when using it. There is a star guide, as well as a couple different sized lenses. We usually take the telescope out onto the porch or onto the concrete landing up the steps by the garage. If you have a star finder app on your phone it's a good way to know where to point the telescope.
