Our house is comfortable and is located on a privileged beach with a clean, tropical, and quiet sea, with few people where you can rest with your family in the comfort of a private environment. The sea in the north is full of life and provides delicious fish and seafood for the delight of its guests, the air is clean and the people are friendly. We can put you in touch with a lady who cooks very well so that you can hire her directly. A lovely place! You'll feel right at home! The space The house consists of a main part facing the sea where the living room, kitchen, terrace with dining table and deck with pool are located. On the second floor is the master bedroom with a king-size bed and its bathroom. This part leads directly to the beach. In the central part of the house there are three bungalows each with its own bathroom, a queen-size bed and a bunk bed. There is also a small garden and a hammock area. In the back of the house are the garages, above these are two bedrooms each with its own bathroom, queen bed and a bunk bed. There is also a service room with its own bathroom. All bedrooms are independent and have ceiling fans. The beach has a large palm branch with shade, armchairs and chairs. We also have two double kayaks for sea trips. There is a shower to remove sea salt and beach sand before entering the pool or house. The house comes equipped with plates, glasses, kitchen utensils, oven, portable grill, and microwave. Beds with sheets and bedspreads, towels in bathrooms (No beach towels), Guest access The Canoas Del Mar condominium consists of 14 waterfront houses with a common entrance and guard. Our house is located almost opposite the entrance and has two parking spaces with the possibility of parking one or two more vehicles. You can walk along the beach to the south or north for several kilometers where you will see other houses and small hotels. Other things to note WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE CANOAS DEL MAR HOUSE The house is part of a private condominium in Canoas-Tumbes, which is a beach 20 minutes north of Punta Sal Resort. It is a family condominium with few houses and a very nice and uncrowded beach. THE HOUSE The house is designed to spend pleasant moments with the family in a relaxing way, in harmony with nature and the sea. Staff included: The house has a man in charge of its proper operation and cleaning of the common areas. His name is Luis and he lives in the village of Cancas. Luis starts the day by cleaning the beach and terrace, putting out beach chairs and armchairs, circulating the pool, and also taking out the kayaks when requested. He doesn't clean bedrooms, only common areas. Cooking and cleaning: For cooking, you can hire a lady (Rosita) who cooks very well (especially fish and shellfish) and can also do some day-to-day shopping at the Cancas market or mini-market. I recommend her because she knows everything in the area and can be very helpful. I'll give you her cell phone number so you can arrange it with her directly. The rooms are delivered clean and disinfected using an ozone generator and no one except the tenants enter the rooms to clean, only Luis will ask for permission to enter room by room to check that the bathrooms are operational and that the water is not running. Bedroom cleaning is a service that is NOT included. If you want this service, through Mrs. Rosita, you can hire a trusted person to clean, make beds, etc. in the bedrooms. Let me know and we'll put her in touch with you to arrange directly. Both the kitchen and cleaning lady charge according to the number of people. Large groups may require an assistant. WATER for house services: It is very important to keep in mind that the house is supplied with water by means of a tanker truck and it must be conserved. Above all, report if the water is running through the toilet, which is the most common reason for water waste. The house is delivered with the tank full (Luis will show you the full tank for your verification). On average, the water should last a week. The rental includes: For each week (07 nights) of rental a tank (10m2) full of water. The rest of the consumption is at the expense of the tenant. Water for drinking or cooking: You have to buy water to drink, it comes in containers with a spout to serve yourself. When you arrive, you will find a new container as a courtesy of the house. The rest is bought by the tenants. Use of the pool: It is the RESPONSIBILITY of the tenants to supervise children when using the pool. There is no lifeguard on the beach or at the pool. This is constantly maintained by house staff (Luis). It is important to enter the pool without sand. For this purpose, there is an outdoor shower next to the stairs on the right side of the deck. Bio-digesters: Solid waste from toilets is handled with Bio-digesters. They are eco-friendly and decompose waste using bacteria. Any material other than feces disturbs the process and damages the Bio-digesters. That is why it is strictly FORBIDDEN to throw papers, sanitary napkins or other objects into the toilets. Please communicate this to everyone (including the Nannies) Smoking: Smoking is not allowed inside the house, it is requested that if you do so, it be outside in the open air. THE CONDOMINIUM Entrance: The condominium has permanent security that controls the entrance. As soon as tenants book the house, they must send the list of people who will come, including: • Full name • Age • Nationality • DNI, CE or Passport number. • Check-in date and time. Guests: If for any reason you wish to invite someone while renting the house, you will have to inform us in advance and also with a list that includes the aforementioned information. Guests are not allowed to stay overnight in the house. Hours: Since this is a family condominium and in order to guarantee peace and quiet, the hours that must be respected are as follows: From Sundays to Thursdays: no celebrations or noise that disturbs the neighbors after 11 P.M. Fridays and Saturdays: Celebrations are allowed until 1:00 AM. GUIDELINES AND RECOMMENDATIONS Shopping: In the village of Cancas (15 minutes by car), there are grocery stores and mini markets that supply basic things such as groceries, vegetables, and fruits. All offer delivery by motorcycle taxi. It is recommended to buy some things in Lima or the city of origin (preferred or sophisticated things) and supplement with what is in the Mini-market. Pharmacy: There are 2 local pharmacies, but they have basic medicines and not much variety. Bringing your own medications is recommended, especially if they are for regular use. It is also recommended to bring a small first aid kit with the basics for any emergency. The beach and the sea: The house is on the beach itself, 60 meters from the shore. The sea is warm and calm most of the time, but it can change at any time. Caution and respect for the sea are recommended. When the tide is low, stones come out that must be avoided when entering. It is advisable to wear water-shoes for comfort, but it is not essential. It is a tropical sea and has abundant life that can include jellyfish that can sting. Their presence is occasional and the stings are treated by washing with seawater and applying a little vinegar. Also, from time to time, little stingrays appear. These are small fish that can sting you with a sting in their tail when you step on them, causing a lot of pain and sometimes a little bleeding. This is treated by washing the application of soap and water to the wound and the application of very hot water to the affected area until the pain subsides. In both cases an antihistamine/anti-allergy medication or an anti-allergy cream can help. You can also suck the venom from the sting with a suction cup (we have one in the house that can be used ONLY in case of emergency - It is in a yellow box in the pantry or Ask Luis for it). Kayaks: We have two double kayaks with oars and life jackets that can be used for sea rides. This activity is at your own risk. Luis is in charge and takes out the kayaks when requested. Sometimes they are in the sea with whale sharks. They are beautiful, large, and harmless. Also in the whale season (August to November) they are seen in front of the house playing with their young. Transportation: For transportation to and from Canoas de Punta Sal Airport, Tumbes or Talara, we can recommend vehicles of different sizes depending on the number of people to pick them up and drop them off. You deal with the carriers directly. To get to the village of Cancas or the Hotel de Punta Sal, you can take a taxi or motorcycle taxi. You can ask the lady who cooks or Luis. To get to Máncora, you can take the public service vans that pass along the road and also by taxi. Security: The house and the beach have a fairly good track record regarding security, but we always recommend closing the screens facing the beach and the doors at night before going to sleep as a precaution, all have keys or locks. The house is located in a very quiet area, but DO NOT leave objects on the beach unattended, especially valuables such as cell phones, watches, glasses, etc. The beach is not private. By law there are no private beaches in Peru, so it is advisable to always be cautious. The house is not responsible for lost items left on the beach. Rooms, towels, and sheets: The rooms of the house will be delivered clean and disinfected, with clean towels and sheets. Sheets and towels are changed weekly. Beach towels are not provided. Covid-19 Protocol: Since the Covid-19 pandemic is still a threat, we have instructed both house staff to disinfect all areas of the house, especially the bedrooms before and after each rental. We use an ozone generator in each room and in the common area after each rental, so the house is completely disinfected. It is essential to consider maintaining social distancing with service personnel and washing your hands frequently for your health safety.
