(A bit like camping) Here are a few things to consider before booking. Water heater and shower are small (30”x29”) Quick showers spaced out are recommended. Water is well water. For better flavor we recommend bringing plenty of bottled water for drinking. We do provide a water purifying pitcher. No central air conditioning. Most evenings end up cooling off nicely by the lake, however, some summer afternoons can be toasty. Stick with easy meals such as crock pot, sandwiches or BBQ grill. Jump in the lake to get nice and cool just before bed. The electricity works on old fashioned fuses, not breakers. No overloading the system with multiple electronics or small appliances. No washer, dryer, or dishwasher. The lake is directly in front of the cottage Children will need to be carefully watched and monitored at all times. Concrete break walls line the shore. The water is shallow but extremely accessible to little ones. The living room fireplace is now electric and not wood burning. It Is controlled by remote for warmth and ambiance. (Note. The cottage does have central heat.) We will supply a binder with information that may be helpful during your stay regarding the above items and other helpful Items.
