As our establishment is surrounded by nature, encountering wildlife on the property is normal. To preserve harmony between humans and local fauna, we kindly ask that you do not feed the animals. Roosters and chickens are a natural part of our environment, reflecting the authenticity of our lifestyle. While we understand they may surprise some visitors, their presence supports local biodiversity. The lizard is a sacred symbol of Moorea, representing protection and prosperity. In fact, “Moorea” means “yellow lizard” in Tahitian. We encourage you to observe them with respect, as they hold deep cultural significance. Being near the forest, occasional encounters with insects, including cockroaches, are inevitable despite our regular pest control efforts. They are part of the natural ecosystem.
