Casa Van Wilpe - Tropical Eco /

Casa Van Wilpe is one of the oldest houses builed on the remote beach of Nosara by famous Costa Rican Architect and engineer couple, Julia and Derk Van Wilpe. They also designed the layout of Playa Guiones. Built with local sourced materials, the house is the live example of the philosophy that respects the nature and environment. The house is located in the center of Guiones, 5 minutes walk to the north Guiones beach entrance. Walking distance to restaurants, minisuper, yoga classes and surf. The space Guests have the entire upstairs with a private gate to enter. The space includes 2 bedrooms, each has ensuite full bathroom. Living room and open kitchen. Large patio in the front and back of the rooms. Each bedroom has a queen bed. We can provide up to 2 folding twin beds to accommodate more people. Guest access Outdoor shower after coming back from the beach to wash off sand. Guests are welcome to walk around the garden under tall trees. We get lots of mangos around March and guests can pick them and enjoy. Other things to note Please do not expect all the comfort you are used to if you are from a more developed country. We have occasionally lost power, they usually come back fast. Our septic tank doesn't accept toilet paper. If you leave food out uncovered, ants and bugs will come. The town started to boom after the pandemic so we have increasing construction, traffic, and petty crime. Be alert, be smart, and respect the local culture.
