Eclectic 3 bedroom home close to Pacuare River, and more high adventure and pristine nature. Comfort, privacy, a touch of luxury, and easy access to town. We offer a la carte, all private for you: meals, airport pickup, local tours, and adventures exclusive to Volare - rafting, waterfalls, nature, biking, 4x4 off-road. Private hot tub, fireplace, observation deck, sound system, massage. Superb work-from-home provisions - high speed internet, equipped office, printer. Volare is in the middle of Costa Rica's true Adventure Capital, yet only 90 minutes to the center of San José. Costa Rica's adventure crown jewel - the Pacuare River, Class IV white water, is year round action close to Volare. Canyoning, mountain biking, real jungle, bush whacking, paragliding, pre-Columbian ruins, Costa Rica's most active volcano - all close to Volare, all available as private adventures or join group tours. Fresh fruits, fresh milk, coffee, tea, sugar, spices, olive oil, condiments -- prepared and ready for your use when you arrive. Volare is super comfortable for six people for sleeping. We can add a single bed in the office... not an "official" sleeping room but works for kids. Our guests have private use of the kitchen and all equipment (toaster, blender, coffee grinder, coffee maker and Italian Moka coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, high capacity convection oven), office equipment and telephone for local and international calls (no charge), office supplies (all-in-one printer/scanner, paper, glossy photo paper, pens, notepads, file folders, stapler, paper punch etc). Volare is the ideal place to continue running your business or staying in touch with your home or work. Yamilet is the backbone of Volare. She makes everything comfortable and easy for you ... as she has for me for 18 years. Cleaning the house, doing your laundry, replenishing the firewood, cleaning the fireplace ... all part of her service. Extra cost options: We have trusted employees, English speaking, who can go with you to guide you to some hidden places - waterfalls and a crystalline swimming hole, hiking trails and nature areas, mountain bike routes. We canl meet your international flight in San José then drive you in your rental car through the mayhem of the city and the unmarked country roads getting to Volare. Our staff also knows where to stop for good grocery shopping. Yamilet is an excellent cook of local cuisine, and (for extra cost) she will prepare meals and picnics for you. We offer fixed price meals which you can order the day before you arrive (for arrival day) or after arrival, for following days. Yami believes making food is an act of love. If you don't speak a bit of Spanish either I, on the phone, or a person near Volare will help make your logistics work smoothly. We can arrange full time guide services for you, experts in nature, hard core adventure, and Latin dancing. You might see Volare's neighbors going to work on horseback. It is a small rural community but on a good paved road (national route 230) and close to Turrialba, the city below the deck (12 minutes away) and San Jose, the capital, 90 minutes away. Right next to our entrance is the soccer field and grade school (for 25 students) and church. Next to the school is a small supermarket -- milk, eggs, local cheese, bread, soft drinks, and some canned goods (but no frozen products or fresh meats, fruits or vegetables, soft dtinks, beer winr rum, whiskey). We're on a paved road, with beautiful views and little traffic, and Volare is remote from the road -- no one from the road even knows the house exists. Front entrance has remote control gate. A Spanish-English bilingual person is available when needed. We highly recommend a rental vehicle.. preferably 4x4. It is not necessary for Volare, but for Costa Rica roads in general. Public bus stops in front of the property (6 to 8 buses per day) and a taxi to Turrialba costs about $15. Volare has secure parking in the carport. A fully bilingual and educated bilingual guide, for nature or for adventure, is available for $130/day or for $245 per day. with appropriate STRONG 4x4 vehicle. A lot of guests LOVE to have meals prepared for them by Yamilet, my housekeeper. Eat on the deck overlooking the city, and not worry about driving in the dark from a restaurant. Yami makes fresh and local cuisine with a flair for (non-spicy) preparation... fish, vegetable, beef, pork, pasta, vegetarian or vegan. It's a Family Style meal, so everyone eats the same... just let Yami know any foods to avoid or that she must include. Volare has appeared in a British TV series on unusual homes. The driving concept of Volare:- COMFORT. TRANQUILITY. PRIVACY BREATHTAKING VIEWS with some amazing adventures thrown in.
