Description
Our cozy little farmhouse is the perfect getaway, to unplug and relax. This older house has lots of character and is located on a working farm, with access to a vast amount of native and tame grassland to explore(just ask us for directions and we will give you all the tips). You will be tucked into a forested area with a private back deck and fire ring in the back surrounded by nature. The space Upstairs has two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom with a tub and a living room. The basement space has some of our personal stuff and we ask that you only use the bathroom with a shower and laundry down there. There is a beautiful back deck with chairs and a small BBQ. The fire pit area is just off your back deck and we will provide(non perfect/gather your own)firewood for you to enjoy. We also raise grass-fed beef and pastured poultry. Depending on stock, you could buy some delicious meat for the BBQ! We are happy to provide our free-range eggs as part of your breakfast if the hens are laying well. The free-range animals on our farm will also be happy to welcome you(cats, dogs, chickens)! Our farm dog Maggie will greet you with a stick for fetch, and she may bark at night a bit to keep away the coyotes but mostly she just wants to fetch. And yes, the rooster crows every morning. Due to our animals we don't allow pets. Guest access 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms(one in the basement*) living room kitchen laundry(basement*) back deck back yard farmyard and gardens *the rest of the basement is private storage Other things to note We are on a farm septic system that is VERY SENSITIVE. But if you follow the rules there will be no issues. Sometimes the wifi can be a bit spotty but works well most of the time. To get to your house, you will have to drive through our yard. We just ask that you drive respectfully, we have many free-range animals are the yard. This is an old farmhouse with old windows which means flies are hard to keep out, especially in the fall. The house is surrounded by trees and when the weather gets dry you may not be able to have a campfire due to the risk of it spreading.
