A private country compound in heart of Sag Harbor. House just gut renovated with all top of line (all Wolf and Subzero appliances). The main house is 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bath main house PLUS separate large guest cottage (with a King bed, bar fridge, and full bathroom). Gunite pool (i.e., salt chlorinated which makes it feels like clean freshwater). Walk to town, bay beach, public tennis courts, 1000 acre nature preserve. One acre lawn, entirely private compound. A short six-block walk to the center of historic Sag Harbor. It is kid-friendly and totally fenced-in with an automatic driveway gate. Two outdoor showers, a gunite pool, outdoor cold plunge, a big fire pit, an in-ground trampoline, an outdoor ping pong table, a corn hole set, and a ping pong table in the basement for rainy days. Housekeeper will be there at check out and will clean and lock the house up. Key provided upon arrival. Check-in 3PM. Check-out 11AM. Sorry NO early OR late check-in / check-out (I get almost always 100% rented and need every minute between guests to clean and prepare). Transportation: If not driving the Jitney and Ambassador line buses go from NYC to the center of Sag Harbor and you can walk from there. The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) goes to Bridgehampton and it is a 10-minute taxi ride. Caretaker is next door, and will come at checkout time to clean and lockup. Occasionally there will be discreet repairmen, pool cleaners, landscapers, lawn mowers, etc who come and go during the week to maintain and fix things inside and outside of the house. You MUST provide them access, as good help is hard to find and I have to work around their schedules. It is completely private, super comfortable indoor/outdoor living within walking distance of town, bay beach, 15 public tennis courts. The following are recommended activities and restaurants, Google them to find more info and exact location: Sag Main Beach (6 miles away, big beach, big waves, public parking, concession stand and bathrooms) Haven Beach (6 blocks away, bay beach, calm, no crowds, with playground on beach, good with small kids) Surfing at Havens beach and more in Montauk (20 miles east) Mashashimuet Park (great kids playground, big fields) If you are a jogger there is a tough run with virtually NO cars (go left out driveway to end of road, left at stop sign, 300 yards thru a stop sign and up a hill and right on only dirt road at top of hill, go as far as you can and turn around to return. If you turn around when you see Denise St, on right it is exactly 3.5 miles. Sag Harbor Park Tennis (great outdoor clay tennis courts) East Hampton Indoor Tennis Long Pond Greenbelt (great hikes, or mountain biking trails, the trailhead is just a few blocks away) Mashomack Preserve (short ferry ride to Shelter Island, and good hikes) Rose Hill Horse Riding Stables, 2035 Scuttle Hole Rd, Bridgehampton Kids Pony Camp, Children's Museum of the East End (2 miles toward Bridgehampton) Variety Store, Kites in Harbor, Wharf Shop - 3 toy stores for kids in town center Yoga Shanti (world famous instructors Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee) Bike rental store Weekend Warrior Tours (for kayaking, paddle boarding bike tours, etc) Boat rentals Poxabogue Golf Course (good driving range, 9-hole course, 3 miles away) Barcelona Neck 9 hole Golf (small course, 1 mile away) Montauk Downs State Park 18 hole Golf Course (world class, 25 min drive) Wolffer Estates wine tasting, concerts, plus more, just down the road Sag Harbor Movie Theater (artsy and foreign films) East Hampton Movie Theater (United Artist Cinema) Great running, hiking and mountain biking woods trails on Greenbelt. Access trails through back of Mashashimuet Park, or better yet, go left out drive, to end of street, take a left, thru stop sign, 300 yards up hill, take right on dirt road, take immediate left up a dirt trail...go on from there...many trails from there. Note: except for food, drink and firewood the house is fully equipped (sheets, towels, beach towels, cooking utensils, grill, etc), and everything will be fully made-up.
