Enjoy being in the heart of Lo de Marcos, just steps from restaurants, cafes, the plaza and a four minute walk to the beach while feeling like you're in the countryside with your courtyard full of fruit trees, flowers, an expanse of green grass and hammocks. This freshly and lovingly renovated 50 year old traditional Mexican house has come alive with the owners love of colour and collection of art and objects from around the world. The space The lighting inside is warm and welcoming as I use mostly incandescent bulbs and under the palapa there are many lighting options for lots of atmosphere at night. If you'd like to rent the Studio Lucita, right beside your Casa Clara, as a second bedroom, you are welcome to. It won't be rented to another other guests while you are there. My store will be opening at the end of November, 2021 on the commercial side of the casa you'll be staying in and I will be carrying colourful textiles and objects from Chiapas, Oaxaca, India and Turkey :) Also, in the spring of 2024 I built myself a small casita at the very back of the property behind the banana and guava trees. It is a big lot and you can’t even see my casita from Casa Clara so there is privacy for everyone. In the summer of 2026 we are building another casa back there where the bananas were - but the expanse of green garden for Casa Clara will still exist :)
