The house is located on peninsula covered by a dense natural forest with uninterrupted views of the Lake and the Andes. Over 1 acre plot w/150ft lakefront. Several distinctive architectural features provide a comfortable and cozy living-style The space The property, of distinctive Tudor style, is located in a pristine peninsula that breaks through more than 3000 meters into the lake. The area is covered by a dense natural forest composed by cyprus trees, araucarias, coihues, maitenes and radales. The House offers uninterrupted views of the Alumine lake and the Andes. A walkway through the garden provides access to the lake shore. The area known as Pehuenia - Araucanía is listed at the UNESCO a biosphere reserve. The House comprises ground floor & first floor. The ground floor has a lobby, kitchen/dining area, living room and bathroom. The upper floor consists of a main bedroom with stunning views, a second bedroom and a playroom that perch over the kitchen area. The House features period windows with stained glass panels, wrought iron railings, Gothic style doors, large entrance door with original brass hardware, first quality tile-floors, recovered Belgian majolica's in the kitchen as well as and many architectural features that provides a comfortable and cozy living style. Heating is conveniently provided by a 8,500 Kcal./hr fireplace and a 6000 Kcal/h gas heater. Hot water is supplied by an electric water heater. Guest access Guests have access to a well kept half an acre garden & a private 50 yards lake shore. Both the garden and lake shore are part of the property and therefore totally private. Unlike most rentals in Villa Pehuenia, that share a smaller plot of land with several “cabins” pretty close to each other, this particular house has its own private garden avoiding unpleasant noises as well as the uncomfortable situation of sharing facilities with a bunch of other guests. The house has been built on the flat portion of the plot that comprises approximately half an acre. The remaining part of the plot consists of a slope covered by natural forest. Access to the lake is provided through a walkway that starts near the house and leads to the lake shore across the slope. Parking space for two/three cars is available. Fresh linen & towels provided every 4 days. Cleaning service available upon request at a reasonable fee. Other things to note During summer time, November through early March, temperatures are warm and frequently reach as much as 25 to 30 Celsius. At night even during summer time temperatures drop to 5°/10° Celsius. Winter time is characterized by a humid and cool weather. Snow covers the entire area and temperatures fall below zero. However, bright sunny days are quite frequent and temperatures at noon range usually from 5 to 10 Celsius.
