Mountain Guesthouse, 20 min to Mesa Verde

Welcome to our contemporary, peaceful two-story guesthouse. Thoughtfully furnished for up to five with fast Starlink Internet access. Located between Durango and Telluride on the San Juan Skyway. Mesa Verde (20 minutes), trails, fishing, skiing, paddle boarding, canoeing, and mountain biking close by. Perfect for friends, couples and families. Amenities such as grocery stores, restaurants, playgrounds, and brew pubs 10 minutes away in Mancos or Dolores. The space This quintessential Mountain Farm Guesthouse experience offers breathtaking views of the mountains, free-range roaming heritage breed chickens, and fresh farm eggs, organic coffee and cream in the kitchen for you upon arrival. Fast capability Starlink Internet available for those working as they travel. On the first floor of the guesthouse you'll find a dining area with french doors that open to a flagstone patio that is wonderful for grilling out, drinks in the evening and/or coffee in the morning. You'll also find a washer and dryer on the first floor and an area to store bikes, skis, etc. Upstairs you will find the majority of the living space with stunning views of the La Plata Mountains (the southern end of the Rocky Mountain Range). The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed that overlooks the chicken house and pastures to the west. The second bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen size bed and blackout shade for deep sleep. There's also a twin size sleeping nook in the living room for one person (kids love this space!). We take pride in providing top quality comfortable mattresses with fresh cotton linens, comforters and blankets, a beautifully remodeled bathroom that has great water pressure for a nice hot shower or bath after a long travel day, and a fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs (complimentary organic coffee, cream and fresh farm eggs provided for your first morning). We regularly hear from our guests that the photos don't do the place justice and that they wished they would have booked an additional night or two. You'll find it a special place to relax, restore, gather with friends and family and create memories in the mountains of Colorado that you will cherish for years to come. Guest access Guests have their own private area and are welcome to explore the 12 acres of the property. There are chickens that guests are welcome to interact with and enjoy (Please read the guidelines in the Guest Information Binder when you arrive). There's a flagstone patio area out front to drink your morning coffee or have an evening cocktail and we provide a charcoal grill if you would like to grill out in the summer. Other things to note We are located 20 minutes from the Mesa Verde National Park entrance. You'll find us 10 minutes from both towns of Mancos and Dolores, 20 minutes from Cortez, approximately 40 minutes from Durango, and a little over an hour (with a gorgeous drive) to Telluride. The Mountain Farm Guesthouse is EXCELLENT for stargazing at night, friendly for families (room to explore outside, board games, toys and a baby gate for the top of the stairs), and our guests have said the beds are very cozy and comfortable, the towels and sheets are soft and the shower has great water pressure. :) Our hope is that you feel relaxed and rejuvenated during your stay with us.
