Casa de Arroz is one of Tamarindo’s older Colonial style homes and it is ideally located 250 meters (2.5 blocks) to the beach and literally steps away from grocery stores, restaurants & nightlife!! Our apartments are so centrally located that there is simply no need for a rental car. Absolutely everything is just a short walk away. The best part is that our house is tucked away on a small hill at the end of a quiet street, just far enough away from the action of town. Our yard has trees full of howler monkeys, iguanas, hummingbirds and butterflies. We love our monkey friends but be warned, that noise that sounds like a lion…it’s coming from them! Casa de Arroz is one of Tamarindo’s original homes that contains 4 recently updated studio apartments. We provide everything you need for a short trip or a longer stay. This unit has a pillow-top queen size bed, as well as a full size futon couch. This makes them perfect for friends traveling together or small families. Every apartment has AC, hot water, WIFI, a ceiling fan, beach towels, an eating area for two, and a safe. This unit is on the second floor and the balcony has a wonderful view of the surrounding jungle. Explore local foods, including tropical produce, and be kind to your budget by taking advantage of the fully equipped kitchen. You’ll find everything you need to cook with a full size fridge, a stove with an oven, utensils, pots & pans as well as drink and dinnerware for 4. We stock each kitchen with the cooking basics, including salt, pepper, oil, sugar, tea, and delicious Costa Rican coffee. We also have a BBQ area, which is an excellent spot to grill freshly caught seafood and dine alfresco. Or just relax and enjoy the cool shade in one of the locally made hammocks. At Casa de Arroz we provide daily cleaning service! We try to be very conscious of the environment and the current water shortage so fresh towels and clean sheets are provided twice per week. We have laundry facilities on the property that you are welcome to use at your convenience ($2 per load includes detergent). Please help us conserve energy by watching water usage and turning off AC units when not in use. Guest access Casa de Arroz is easy to access as it is centrally located in Tamarindo. On street parking is avaiable; however, with our proximity to the beach and services no car is needed.
