Detailed description Our cottage, located in a resort near BlueBay, is completely fenced by a high fence. Just 3 minutes drive there is a large supermarket, called 'Centrum'. Just a little further is a branch of the French supermarket “Carefour”. In addition to the advantage that these supermarkets are open 7 days a week, these supermarkets also have many Dutch products in their assortment. The Bluebay beach is only 2 minutes drive, Willemstad and the airport (Hato) 15 minutes drive. Our modern, newly built cottage has stylish furnishings and a living room and kitchen with a high ceiling. This ensures that our cottage is large and spacious. We have chosen an interior with an eye for detail, quality and design. In the kitchen is a large countertop with a 4-burner stove, built-in cupboards and combi oven-microwave. The kitchen is equipped with a large new and modern Bosch combi fridge and freezer with three large drawers. In addition, there is running cold and hot water. There is plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery, (Tefal baking and wok)pans, bowls, chopping boards, etc. The kitchen is also equipped with a Philips Senseo coffee machine, an electric kettle, a toasted iron and a rice cooker. A large dining room table with four chairs offers space to eat with four people and can also be used as a desk/workplace. The living room contains a modern two-seater sofa, two single armchairs, a coffee table, TV furniture with storage space and a large fan. Technically, the kitchen and living room are also equipped with the following equipment: - Smart TV (incl. o.a. Nederlandse TV zenders, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, USB-ingang, Amazon- Youtube en Netflix app) - Soundbar (incl. o.a. USB-ingang, Bluetooth, Google Chromecast Audio, Apple TV en een AUX ingang) - A fixed wireless DECT phone (see below) - An FM radio with AUX input incl (backup)batteries In both the kitchen and living room we have used atmospheric LED lighting, including (colored) LED strips, which provide a soft indirect light in a color as desired. Through the glass patio doors you walk from the living room to a half covered terrace with a table and four chairs. We also have two relaxing chairs. The patio doors have large curtains that can provide both insulation and privacy when they are closed. From the terrace you have a view of the tropical garden with large swimming pool which can be used by the residents of the resort. The resort has a total of two swimming pools. Directly next to the cottage is a large storage room, which can be used by guests (for example for the storage of suitcases). The cottage has a private parking space in front of the door (inside the fence) and some visitor parking spaces. The entire resort is illuminated in the evening and at night. A separate toilet can be reached from the living room. From the living room you can also enter the two bedrooms; each with its own door. Bedroom 1 has a queen-size double bed, two bedside tables with night lights, a wardrobe, a smart TV and various hanging options for clothes. Bedroom 2 is almost identical to bedroom 1 and has a small storage room/meter cupboard in addition to two single beds. Each bedroom is equipped with a 100% blackout blinds plus additional traditional curtains that are also blackout and an air conditioner that can cool the bedroom to 15 degrees. In addition, blue mosquito/fly lamps are available in the kitchen and bedrooms. There is also a cot/baby cot, including bed linen and blankets, from Prenetal. In addition, we have a high chair for the kitchen table. The bathroom is accessible from both bedrooms. In the bathroom there are various racks and hanging options for towels. In the shower cubicle there is a rain shower and separate shower head. The bathroom also has a washer/dryer and a sink. Both the bathroom and separate toilet are connected to an air extraction system. We set ourselves high standards for technology. Therefore, our house is equipped with fiber optic internet and a very strong 2.4 and 5Ghz WiFi network with multiple wifi networks: One of the wifi networks has a Dutch IP address, which allows (video)streaming services to work better. It is also possible to make calls via various Dutch telecom providers via “Wifi calls”, without additional roaming costs. We will be happy to explain the details. We also have a fixed telephone line with a Dutch, American, German and Curaçao telephone number, on which our guests can be reached free of charge. Calls to the Netherlands and Germany (regular landlines and mobile numbers) are free of charge and other destinations can be reached from 2 cents per minute. Fire detectors and a CO2 detector are present in various places. Among other things, we use the brand “Nest”. The house, including the external storage room, are equipped with an alarm system. This system also has a so-called ‘home mode‘ that can be switched on during the night, for example. If desired, we can also switch off the alarm (remotely). If available, guests can use our own car for a reasonable fee. When using our car, there is, among other things, a road guard membership and an all-risk insurance. There is a large supermarket called 'Centrum' on a 3-minute drive. Another supermarket, originally from France, called “Carefour” is also located close to our house. Besides the advantage that both supermarket are close by and opened 7 days a week, these supermarkets provide a lot of Dutch and European products. Bluebay beach is only a 2-minute drive by car. There are plenty of potteries, glasses, cutlery, (baking and wok) pans, bowls, cutting boards etc. available. The kitchen is also equipped with a Philips Senseo coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster and a rice cooker. A large dining room table with four chairs offers space for four people to eat and can also be used as a desk / workplace. Next to our house a large storage room is located, which can be used by guests (for example for storing suitcases). Our house has its own parking space next to our front door (inside the gated area). Furthermore a few visitor parking spaces ae located on the resort. The entire resort is smoothly illuminated during the night. A separate restroom can be reached from the living room. You can also enter the two bedrooms from the living room. Bedroom 1 has a queen-size double bed, two bedside tables with night lights, a wardrobe, smart TV and various hanging options for clothing. Bedroom 2 is almost identical to bedroom 1. Bedroom 2 has two single beds and a small storage space. Each bedroom is equipped with blinds which blocks almost 100% of the outside light plus additional traditional curtains that also block light. Furthermore do the bedrooms have an inverter (energy efficient air conditioning) which can cool the bedroom to 15 degrees. Blue mosquito / fly lights are also placed in both the kitchen and bedrooms. We provide free of charge a baby bed when you bring your new born and/or infant. In the kitchen a baby chair can be placed next to the kitchen table. The bathroom can be reached from both bedrooms. In the bathroom various racks and hanging options for towels have been installed by us. There is both a rain shower and a separate shower head in the shower cabin. The bathroom also has a washer / dryer and a sink. Both the bathroom and separate restroom are connected to an air exhaust system. We have a high standard in terms of technology.
