Detailed description Our cottage, located in a resort near BlueBay, is fully fenced with a high fence. Just a 3-minute drive away, there is a large supermarket called "Centrum". Just a little further away is a branch of the French supermarket "Carefour". In addition to the advantage that these supermarkets are open 7 days a week, these supermarkets also have many Dutch products in their assortment. The Bluebay beach is only a 2-minute drive, Willemstad and the airport (Hato) are a 15-minute drive. Our modern, newly built cottage has a stylish decor and a living room and kitchen with a high ceiling. This ensures that our cottage is large and spacious. We have chosen a decor with an eye for detail, quality and design. In the kitchen is a large countertop with a 4-burner gas stove, built-in cabinets and combi oven-microwave. The kitchen has a large new and modern Bosch combination refrigerator and freezer with three large drawers. In addition, there is running cold and hot water. There are plenty of dishes, glasses, cutlery, (Tefal baking and wok) pans, bowls, cutting boards, etc. available. The kitchen also includes a Philips Senseo coffee maker, a kettle, a sandwich toaster and a rice cooker. A large dining room table with four chairs offers space to eat with four people and can also be used as a desk/workplace. The living room contains a modern two-seater sofa, two single armchairs, a coffee table, TV furniture with storage space and a large fan. Technically, the kitchen and living room are also equipped with the following equipment: - Smart TV (including Dutch TV channels, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, USB input, Amazon Youtube and Netflix app) - Soundbar (including USB input, Bluetooth, Google Chromecast Audio, Apple TV and an AUX input) - A fixed wireless DECT phone (see below) - An FM radio with AUX input incl. (backup) batteries In both the kitchen and living room, we have used atmospheric LED lighting, including (colored) LED strips, which provide a soft indirect light in a color of your choice. Through the glass patio doors, you walk from the living room to a half-covered terrace with a table and four chairs. Besides, we have two more reclining chairs. Large curtains hang at the patio doors that can provide both insulation and privacy when closed. From the terrace, you have a view of the tropical garden with a large swimming pool that can be used by the residents of the resort. The resort has a total of two swimming pools. Right next to the cottage is a large storage room, which can be used by guests (for example, for storing luggage). The cottage has its own parking space in front of the door (inside the fence) and some visitor parking spaces. The entire resort is atmospherically lit in the evening and at night. From the living room, a separate toilet can be reached. The two bedrooms can also be accessed from the living room; each with its own door. Bedroom 1 features a queen size double bed, two bedside tables with night lights, a wardrobe, a smart TV and various hanging options for clothes. Bedroom 2 is almost identical to bedroom 1 and has two single beds and a small storage/meter cabinet. Each bedroom is equipped with 100% blackout roller blinds plus additional traditional curtains that are also blackout and an air conditioner that can cool the bedroom to 15 degrees. Both the kitchen and bedrooms also have blue mosquito/fly lamps. Also there is a baby/child bed, including bedding and blankets, from Prenetal available. In addition, we have a high chair for the kitchen table. The bathroom can be reached from both bedrooms. In the bathroom there are various racks and hanging options for towels. In the shower cabin, there is a rain shower and a separate shower head. The bathroom also has a washing machine/dryer and a sink. Both the bathroom and separate toilet are connected to an air extraction system. We ourselves place high demands on technology. Therefore, our cottage is equipped with fiber optic internet and a very strong 2.4 and 5Ghz WiFi network with multiple WiFi networks: One of the WiFi networks has a Dutch IP address, which allows (video) streaming services to work better. It is also possible to call via various Dutch telecom providers using "Wi-Fi calling", without additional roaming costs. We would love to explain the details to you. We also have a landline with a Dutch, American, German and Curaçao telephone number, on which our guests can be reached free of charge. Calling the Netherlands and Germany (regular landline and mobile numbers) is free, and other destinations can be reached from 2 euro cents per minute. Fire detectors and a CO2 detector are present in various places. Among other things, we use the brand "Nest". The house, including the external storage room, is equipped with an alarm system. This system also has a so-called "home mode" that can be switched on during the night, for example. If desired, we can also switch off the alarm (remotely). We are happy to make our cottage available, where our guests can use our (personal) belongings. In all fairness, we ask our guests to replenish items that are consumed. If available, guests can use our own car for a reasonable fee. When using our car, a roadside assistance membership and an all-risk insurance are included. If our car is not available, we will gladly refer you to a local car rental company of Dutch friends who can provide a rental car especially for us at very competitive rates. There is a large supermarket called 'Centrum' a 3-minute drive away. Another supermarket, originally from France, called “Carefour” is also located close to our house.
