My family has been spending summers on Port Hood Island for the past 45 years. It has great panoramic ocean views and is just 5 minutes from the beaches (not oceanfront). It is the perfect place to relax, read, and spend quality time with your family. Many renovations have been done over the years. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower as well as an outside shower, great for coming back from the beach. Linens and towels are included, but bring your own beach towels. Walk or take the golf cart to get around on the island. You can eat outside and BBQ after a long day at the beach. Park your car at the wharf and take a ferry to get to the Island. Want to go on a day trip or grocery shopping? Call the boat captain to make arrangements to get on or off the island – weather permitting. It may be possible to cross over after sunset if another fisherman is available (please contact me to plan ahead). This miners' house was crossed on the ice in 1910. It is sometimes possible to return after sunset if another fisherman is available (contact me in advance to plan) Other things to note Preferred rental is from Sunday to Saturday.
