Monjas 1A is a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment, located on the ground floor of Casa Las Monjas. This split level apartment features beautiful mosaïc tiled floors, typical to the area, and historical Casco Viejo Calicanto stonewalls, creating a cool but intimate atmosphere that directly connects you to the history of Casco. A private courtyard opens directly into the dining area, and the elegantly furnished living area takes advantage of the view into our famous Monjas courtyard. The space Monjas 1A is a unique space, located centrally to historic sites, artesian shops, bars and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area on foot. The apartment is spacious, with high ceilings, and characterised by historical architectural features tropical to this area. At ground level, it is set back from the street front, which provides a private and quiet setting. A fully equiped kitchen, dining and living space gives our guests the option to stay in and experience Casco as a local. On the upper split level, the laundry is equiped with a washer and dryer, and the bedroom, with ensuite bathroom, features a small balcony window overlooking the historical stonewall and down to the private courtyard. Guest access Guests can access the shared courtyard at the entrance, and there are no restricted living space areas within the apartment. Key access is provided to guests fro entry to the building from the street front and access into the apartment. An intercom in located on the street front which can be used to 'buzz' in guests. The intercom is directly serviced by each apartment (not centrally managed or attended). A handset/phone and access button is located near the kitchen, which requires one guest to be in the apartment to grant access to the returning guest. Other things to note Although the apartment is right in the middle of Casco, as it was one of the first buildings to be remodelled in the area, it is quiet and private given its layout is setback from the street front.
