Lakefront beauty on Houghton Lake's south shore. Cottage is situated on 80 ft of frontage. The garage is immediately across the street and has another 50 ft of lakefront & a fire pit. Knotty pine interior & views galore!! High speed internet & cable TV. Washer & Dryer. In Summer, rent a boat from one of the the local marinas & tie it up to our dock. Fish, do watersports, play games in the big yard or just kick back and enjoy beautiful sunrises/sunsets! In Winter, snowmobile or ice fish. The space There is a picnic table, propane barbecue grill on wheels, bench swing, cornhole boards and more to help you enjoy the natural beauty of being right on the lake! The kitchen has cookware, platewear, and utensils, for those who wish to stay in vs. dining out. Guest access There is a restaurant in walking distance, a golf course within a 1/2 mile, and a public boat launch nearby. If you bring bicycles you can get to many more choices. A car would likely be the best way to get around town, as Houghton Lake is a large lake, so the business that boarder it stretch out for quite some ways. Some people enjoy boating up to local restaurants as there are a few that have docks out back for patrons to use. In winter many people snowmobile to the local stores and restaurants. Once the lake is frozen well enough, many people enjoy riding on the lake. There are also over 200 miles of trails in the county. If you web search "visit Houghton Lake snowmobiling" you will find a link to a website that will have everything you need to know about snowmobiling in this area. It is one of the BEST spots in the state to snowmobile and many of the local pubs and restaurants are snowmobile friendly. From our cottage you can take your snowmobile right onto the lake. Ice fishing is very popular on this lake and directly out from our cottage is a great spot. The lake has walleye, small and large mouth bass, northern pike, bluegill and more.
