Historic cocoa farm in southern Bahia, municipality of Ilhéus on the banks of the Almada River and close to the village of Castelo Novo. To get to the place, please follow the recommendations made here. Head towards Uruçuca on the Ilhéus/Uruçuca Highway, until km 18. Upon reaching this mileage, you will see the dirt road on the right and the wooden sign for Fazenda Almada. Enter this road and go straight for 3 kilometers until you see the gate of Fazenda Almada. We offer great Wi-Fi. The space Visitors will get to know a cocoa property from 1855 that is still run by the same family. The headquarters is beautiful. The guest house is close to the workers' houses. Horses to ride, cows to enjoy the morning milk, fruits and some vegetables from the garden, leisure area, different organized trails, ride in Cabruca, the name given to the cocoa plantation. Finally, a lot to relax, experience, and stroll in the middle of exuberant nature. Come learn more about the Atlantic Forest biome. Other things to note Guests can hike, ride horses, and take a boat ride on the Almada River towards Lagoa Encantada, as well as visit Golden-Headed Lion Tamarin families with a specialized guide inside the Cabruca, the name given to the cocoa plantation that is cultivated within the Atlantic Forest.
