Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is in a quiet tree covered neighborhood within 1/4 mile of the Elvis Presley birthplace. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to enjoy your home cooked meals. Hardwood floors throughout the house. One bath has a shower stall and the other has a tub and shower. The downstairs apartment is occupied by the on site hostess who uses the kitchen when we have no guests. You will have the entire upstairs all to yourself during your stay. This is a comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of off street parking. All rooms are on one level but there is a narrow walkway to the house from the parking area. There is great walking on the hilly surrounding streets. Veterans Park is just a few blocks away with more walking trails, the Tupelo Aquatic Center, a great playground for kids, a disc golf course, and a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Guests will have access to the bedrooms, baths and kitchen upstairs. On site hostess will be in the downstairs apartment and does have access to the kitchen. She will avoid using the kitchen while guests are in the house. Your privacy and enjoyment of our house is our number one priority. Arrangements can be made to use the washer and dryer downstairs. We live in the area and will be happy to provide information about local activities. Lisa, our onsite hostess will be in the downstairs apartment. I am an avid bicycle rider and will gladly help plan local rides and will join you if available. The Tanglefoot Trail Rails to Trails is 20 miles away. 44 miles of shaded, car free riding on the paved trail. 1/4 mile to Elvis Presley birthplace and Veterans Park. The park has a great playground for kids, a disc golf course and a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall. We have lots of great local restaurants as well as most of the national chains all within easy access. The Tupelo Auto Museum is one of the best in the country. We have the Tupelo Buffalo Park with the largest herd of buffalo east of the Mississippi, plus many other interesting animals. The Tanglefoot Trail Rails to Trails is 20 miles away and is wonderful place to ride bikes. 44 miles of paved car free fun through the country from New Albany to Houston, MS. 3 miles from the Tupelo airport, 90 miles from Memphis. Uber and Lyft available in Tupelo. One hour to Oxford and Starkville for any college sporting event. We are a short drive from the Natchez Trace. If traveling the Trace by bicycle, special arrangements can be made to get you to the house and skip the local traffic. Our kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven and all the usual kitchen tools. We will have coffee, filters, sugar, milk and some snacks waiting for you.
