Owl's Roost - Quiet, private and rustic

Large adjoined living room and kitchen offers a cabin-like feel for dining and relaxation in style. Master bedroom and bath, second bathroom. Located just off Highway One, up a quiet road just far enough away that you won't notice the highway, this home is in an ideal convenient location for exploring the local area, and for soaking in quietude. The space House has a rustic, cabin like feel with large front rooms that have high ceilings, yet contains a certain elegant quality as well. You can't beat the location, close to weekend busy Point Reyes, yet away from the bustle. As you enter the front door, the open Living/Dining/Kitchen/Deck area is to your left, with high beam ceilings and ample windows. Down the hall is the bedroom with Queen bed and full bath. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need to prepare meals which you can enjoy inside at the dining table, or outside on the large sunny deck with steps down to the backyard. Plenty of parking and privacy. Just minutes from Point Reyes Station, and within walking distance of the Heidrun Meadery and Point Reyes Arabian Adventures (guided horseback tours). Guest access Kitchen, Master bedroom and bath, yard, and detached unit. Access not provided to office at far right end of hall. Other things to note House rules: If something breaks and you need it for your stay, you can purchase the item, keep the receipt and I will reimburse. However, if an item is broken by the guest, and is not needed for the stay, I ask that the guest try to replace this item or at least inform me that it has broken, if it is not replaceable. NO PETS. My office on the right at the end of the hall is locked, and not a part of the rental of the house. Garbage day is Tuesday, so you can stuff the kitchen bag in the gray can that is located along the dirt road entryway, and anything recyclable can go into the big blue bin there at any time during your stay. In the meantime, I place recyclable items in a milk crate just outside the kitchen on the deck. NOTE: I share garbage bins with neighbors who live on same driveway, so please try to separate items into the different bins and please try not to put everything, including food remains, into trash bag and overload the gray garbage bin. On that note, compostable matter can go into the compost bin below the sink, which can be emptied into the Compost bins outside, during or after your stay, and I will tend to that upon return.
