A short Uber or taxi ride reaches dozens of excellent restaurants and shops in locations such as the cozy downtown Elmhurst area. We are 10 minutes away from public transportation from Elmhurst to downtown Chicago. If you have a vehicle, parking is inexpensive at the Elmhurst train station. If you do not have a vehicle, we recommend taking Uber or Lyft to the Elmhurst train station. If you are planning to drive into the city of Chicago, we recommend using either SpotHero or ParkWhiz parking apps. We will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We are in a residential area, however, there are several restaurants, a grocery store, and an ice cream shop all within approximately 1/2 mile from our house. There are several options to go into downtown Chicago from our house. #1. There is a bus stop three blocks away which will take you to the transportation center in Forest Park for the CTA El trains. From there you can take the blue line into downtown Chicago. #2 Another option is taking the Metra train from downtown Elmhurst into downtown Chicago. The Elmhurst train station is approximately 2.5 miles from our house. #3. Uber or drive if you have a car. We have a large driveway for guests to park their cars in.
