Enjoy your stay! Casita El Portal is located in the beautiful village of El Portal. El Portal is a state-designated bird sanctuary, which means the birds and trees cannot be harmed in anyway - and peacocks have the right-of-way! A nature trail winds its way through the village. The Casita is just 2 blocks from the Little River District and the Citadel (food hall, bar and rooftop terrace). The home is also a short 5-10 minute walk to Miami Shores - where you'll find the local Starbucks and additional restaurants and shops. Enjoy your visit. Casita El Portal is centrally located: Miami International Airport (MIA) = 12 miles | 20 minute drive/ride Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) = 25 miles | 30 minute drive/ride South Beach = 7.6 miles | 18 minute drive/ride Coconut Grove = 11 miles | 18 minute drive/ride Extend-your-stay (option): Standard check-in time is 3:00-10:00 PM, and check-out time on day of departure is 11:00 AM. An early check-in or extended check-out time can often be arranged at no charge up to 24-48 hours prior to day of arrival and/or departure. That said, we understand travel itineraries may not always align with these times and, as a courtesy to our guests, offer the option to confirm an early check-in and/or extended departure time in advance of a planned stay.
