Our house is situated in the exclusive picturesque development of Egmont, St George. A beautiful peaceful area close to the Marina and luxury boutique Hotel, La Phare Bleu. Our home overlooks the sea and is so serene most people mistake it for a lake. It even boasts a little island in the middle of it called 'Bird Island' and in the evening you can sit and watch the birds flock to its tip to settle in for the night. Your living space has its own front entrance and verandah giving you the freedom to come and go as you please. You will have a small kitchenette that has a kettle, toaster and fridge allowing you to make breakfast and snacks but not a full working kitchen. You will be 15 mins from Grand Anse beach in one direction and 15 mins from La Sagesse beach in the other. With access to everything in between. Ideally situated to explore the island. We'll be happy to advise you of the best places to visit including those places that are off the tourist track so you can get to explore the island from a local perspective. We've visited many of the waterfalls, beaches and other attractions so can fill you in first hand on what to expect and we're happy to point you in the right direction. Egmont is a private residential development on one of Grenada's peninsulas. As soon as you cross the bridge into it you feel as though you are entering another world. It is extremely picturesque with sea views all over. The roads are very quiet and many people come in to just to walk and jog in the early mornings and evenings. La Phare Bleu Marina is about 5 mins drive and boasts a bar, restaurant, pool and also a floating 'Lighthouse' Bar' which has live music on Thursdays and Friday nights. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is a great place to dine. The main road is well serviced with buses although a car would be an asset as we are a good distance from the main road once you enter Egmont (25 mins walking). For those not driving we will provide local taxi numbers and even assist when we are able to accommodate but you will find that Grenadians are always friendly and you won't get far walking before someone stops to offer you a ride to the main road. However, if you are able to drive and hire a car it would give you greater independence.
