The Homer Spit is a bustling place in the summer, with a wide variety of things to see and do. Take off on a helicopter flight from the beach right out front, head across the bay to go hiking or kayaking, fish for halibut or just take in the sights and watch the fishermen come in and hang their catch right outside each afternoon. There are several wonderful restaurants within a few minutes walk in every direction. Homer is spread out and there is a lot to see and experience, we recommend that all guests consider renting a car to optimize their time in town. If you'd rather not, there are several very reliable cab companies in town as well as a hop-on hop-off trolley that offers tours though the summer.
