This charming and peaceful studio in Sausalito has it all: privacy, amenities and a convenient location. Easy street parking and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and waterfront. Enjoy a comfortable queen-sized bed, flat screen television, kitchen and private bathroom. Situated in a quiet north Sausalito neighborhood that is still extremely walkable (please view below map for a sense of location), the garden studio is perfect for those who would like a relaxing stay during their time in the Bay Area. Located at the back of our main house, the garden studio has its own private entrance and is charmingly appointed. Please note: there are 26 stairs down to the studio from the property entrance (in groups with flat areas in between). As such this is probably not an appropriate listing for those with mobility issues or injuries that may prevent them from walking up and down stairs. While we love animals no pets (including our own) are allowed in the garden studio out of consideration for our guests with allergies. With a queen size bed and pullout sofa bed, the garden studio can fit up to four people. Guests should bear in mind that it is a studio set up with an open floor plan. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or special requests. Toddler size air mattress and Pack N Play crib available upon request. Sausalito is a charming town, with great restaurants, local character and is conveniently close to the city of San Francisco. It's a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of exploring SF. It's also close to other Bay Area attractions and activities like Mount Tamalpais, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, Marin Headlands, Point Reyes and Sonoma and Napa wine country. The garden studio is located in northern Sausalito, approximately 1.5 miles for the Sausalito ferry terminal, with easy freeway access. We value our guests' privacy but are happy to help you with recommendations and trip planning throughout your stay. We live in the main house and are usually on location, but are very mindful about making any noise in the space above the studio. For those who like to be outdoors and active, the options are limitless. There are plenty of nearby hikes, easy access to Marin bike paths, free tennis courts within one block of the studio (as well as basketball courts, a soccer field and small track) and nearby kayak and paddle board rentals. It's very easy to get around in Sausalito! Beyond being very walkable, public transportation is inexpensive and easy, with bus stops conveniently located close to the property. Our favorite way to get into the city is via the Sausalito ferry, which drops you right off at the legendary Ferry Building. Discount is automatically applied to stays of 7 nights or more. There is no smoking or vaping allowed on the property (this includes outdoor areas). The garden suite is approximately 350 square feet, plus an outdoor mini-patio area.
