Did you grow up sleeping in a bunk bed? Relive that experience. Private 1 room building. Hike along some of our local trails, even up to Poas Volcano 3 1/2 hr hike! Relax before or after your tour of Costa Rica in our private gated property. Rejuvenate in our JACUZZI! Our breakfast consists of coffee/tea and fresh local fruit to help get your day started. The space Private building with our Observation deck up above. You have full access to the rest of the property, including the JACUZZI! We are in farm country so you may hear cows, tractors going by on the farmers road below. We do have some chickens on the property, many of our neighbors have roosters. We do have some ear plugs if the noise troubles you. There is no cooking facilities with this room, there is a sink and counter top in the yoga room that you have access to when there are no yoga classes. This room includes a twin bunk bed with a place to store your clothing. No bathroom in this room. You need to use one of the 2 bathrooms next to our Yoga Room. Both bathrooms have a full shower with solar hot water. If you do not like sharing a bathroom with anyone else, there is a key that you can take with you to lock the bathroom and use it all for yourself. Not a problem, there are 2 shared bathrooms. The other larger rooms all have their private baths. The shared bathrooms are for visitors to the retreat center. Re-experience your childhood. Romantic, private and accommodating. Get away from the tourist destinations and experience the real Costa Rica. Our property has an amazing view of the Valley below and of the Poas Volcano. Fenced in and Private property to relax in comfort. We will let you know class times. When staying with us, you are treated like family Guest access This area is amazing for walking and hiking. Many hiking trails surround the property. Hike to the Poas Volcano (3 1/2 hr hike) or in the Bosque del Nino Forest Reserve. Bird watching gives you an opportunity to view the many species of birds who live on or around the property. Professional masseuses and Reiki Sessions are available by appointment. Private Manicures/Pedicures are also available by appointment There are many private areas on our property to read a book or just relax with the views of the Valley below and of the Poas Volcano. Relax in our Orchid area located among our mini orchard. Or enjoy the view from our observation deck. Our Private area is restricted. Join us for our morning Yoga Classes for FREE Monday & Friday at 9a.m. Wednesday at 9:30 Chair yoga class. All levels welcome. Other things to note Sheets, Towels, Toilet Paper is provided. There is a neighborhood store 300 meters away if you need shampoo, conditioner & soap or other essentials. We can provide meals for an additional charge please ask a few hours ahead of time so that we can accommodate if possible. Laundry is available for an additional fee. We take care of that for you. We ask that you bring your laundry to us in the morning as we are on solar and use our larger appliances during the day only. Clothes will be line dried except in the rainy season where we will then use our drier. We use only natural cleaning supplies and do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets. Breakfast consisting of local in season fruit with coffee and/or tea is the only thing included. We can also arrange excursions for you at an additional fee. We have a few local drivers available to take you to many locations. Grecia has a variety of restaurants for your dining enjoyment. There are a few "vegan" and "vegetarian" choices near by. We are about an hour away from the San Jose International Airport and 45 minutes away from the Poas Volcano (2nd largest ACTIVE crater in the world). We have hair dryer and clothing iron available but not in your room. Please ask us if you would like to use either and we will get it for you.
