The space Our house is designed in a traditional colonial style in keeping with Villa de Leyva's rich history. Built with natural materials such as mud brick walls and roof tiles, the house blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. Inside, the house features a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area that overlooks the garden, and a lovely living room with a cozy fireplace. The comfortable beds are fitted with natural latex mattresses, organic cotton sheets, and locally woven wool blankets for a cozy night's sleep. One of the highlights of the property is its large and stunning garden, complete with a pond filled with water lilies. Please note that the pond is not fenced, which makes it not suitable for families with small or unsupervised children. Located just a stroll away from the center of town, you can easily explore the lovely farmers market, historic buildings, and museums, as well as enjoy high-quality restaurants. The house is also a short drive away from the Natural Reserve of Iguaque, where you can immerse yourself in the stunning paramo environment (please check online if the park is open during your visit). Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire house and garden during their stay. Laundry facilities are available on the property, and guests are welcome to use them during their stay. A designated parking space - for 2 small vehicles or a large one - is provided for guests to use during their visit. Other things to note We provide clean linen and towels. For long stays, these will be replaced once a week. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary utensils for cooking and includes basic supplies such as sugar, tea, and coffee. Food preparation is not included. The pond on the property is not fenced. Therefore, it is not suitable for small or unsupervised children. Please note that our house is surrounded by gardens, so you might occasionally encounter seasonal, harmless crawling insects, such as beetles or small, non-venomous scorpions. We use natural pest control methods to manage these visitors and will provide guidance on how to avoid any issues. Rest assured, we have not experienced any problems with pests in many years. The house is located in a quiet area, so we kindly ask our guests to respect our neighbors' right to peace and quiet during your stay. There is Wi-Fi in the property but no TV.
