Nestled in the mountains of Little Switzerland, Whispering Creek Cottage is owned by artists; who added their own flair to each room. This (1200 sq. ft) 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage has a large full kitchen/dining area, nice-sized living room & sleeps four. The cottage offers all the amenities of home (Cable & WIFI) with the feel of the past. You will love the wood floors, sounds of rain on the tin roof, the fireplace, fire circle, and large porch. The closest towns are Marion and Spruce Pine, NC. A gently winding mountain road will guide your ascent from Marion, NC, to this adorable 1915 cottage. Whether sitting on the front porch or napping in the hammock, you will be lulled by the babbling creek, which runs alongside the cottage. The kids will have a grand time playing in the creek and, with any luck, will see a salamander or a crawfish hiding beneath the rocks. Summer nights bring promises of starlit skies, catching fireflies and roasting marshmallows in our outdoor fire pit. The small towns of Marion at the bottom of the mountain and Spruce Pines on the other side of the Blue Ridge Parkway offer plenty of choices for grocery shopping or grabbing a bite to eat. So whether spending your days relaxing at the cottage or enjoying a day of adventure in nature ... your stay at Whispering Creek Cottage will be one that you will long remember. Guest access You will have access to the entire house and property. Maximum Occupancy. The maximum number of guests per cabin is limited to four (4) persons.
