Description
Nature lovers can go off the grid in this ultra private, wild, island lakeside cabin. Your host will meet you and transport you one mile by motorboat. The only sounds you will hear will be the waves and the birds in the trees. You can swim, read, hike, sit by the fire pit (a 10-minute walk from your cabin) or canoe (rental is $20/day). At night you can stargaze. The terrain is rugged. You have a gas mini fridge, solar-powered lights, solar shower, gas stove, an outhouse, and private lake access. The space This is an old Maine cabin, built in 1973. The property has been in the family for four generations, and centuries before the Native Americans called this land "as far as you can go." Aside from the host, you will be alone on hundreds of acres of wild woods surrounded by a lake. This is technically a peninsula, not an island, with no road access. There are two campgrounds on other sides of the lake. To access the lake, you must drive on six miles of dirt road. For complete peace, solitude, and immersion in nature, come here.
