Description
The Yurt or 'Ger' is a Mongolian structure, comparable to a First Nations Tipi. Used by nomadic peoples, it was originally made of felt and furs. After being westernized by folks from Oregon and British Columbia, the Yurt has been transformed. Hand painted from floor to ceiling, this 12' diameter Mongolian Yurt comes with a double bed, electric heater and camp chairs to look at the great views outside. It sits on a small deck in between high trees and the other yurts. On clear nights you can open the canvas roof and see stars through the skylight. A bathhouse with shower and washroom is located beside this yurt. Japanese cedar soaking tubs are available for surcharge next to the yurts, some with an unbeatable view of the Atlantic Ocean, Bird Islands and our freshwater pond.
