Crawling distance from Fitzgerald's & Sidebar, one of the most well-known music venues in IL (Attached is Baby's Gold BBQ) and Autre Monde (French) restaurants are steps away.. CVS pharmacy, Jewel, quick bites too. 3 blocks to the CTA Blue line & 7 blks CTA Green/Pink line. Close to parks, the zoo n more. Must be 25 or older tho... If you are looking for a cozy place with quality comfortable beds and couches, kitchen amenities, smart tv's, a great back and side yard for entertaining (With an outdoor bar), a zen garden for meditating, and/or space accessible to Chicago, less than a mile west of the city, this is the place. During the warm months live music is played 6 nights per week right next door and can be heard from the back yard/patio. Chicago downtown is a 20-minute drive or Uber ride. Industrial laundry machines are available (for no cost). We also have bicycles and locks for use, coupled with street parking (we will provide parking passes for our "zoned area)." There are two parking for up to two cars in the near (free). It's a bit narrow, need to back in, we could fit mini-vans and pickup trucks there. Two cars can be parked in tandem. We are busy people, travel often and if we are around we are always into meeting new people. When home, we cook many meals and love to share, whether we leave food for you or enjoy with you. We give guests their space when needed. The neighborhood has a vibe, quiet in the mornings/early afternoon, daily, then things light up most evenings because of the nearby restaurants, bars, and music venues. Lots of bites and groceries nearby. Music Venues: Fitzgerald's, The Wire, Friendly Tap/coffee house/music school are all within 300 ft. Japanese steakhouse/sushi, taqueria, American Grill, pizzeria, and fast food are within 100 feet. One of the top BBQ joints is attached to the Fitzgerald's and Side Bar music venues within crawling distance. Park and playground within a block. Thatcher Woods is a hop-skip-and-jump away (Mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and fishing), consisting of some beautiful trails along the DesPlain's River! Frank Loyd Wright Architectural Tours and more...). Walking distance from Blue and Green line Trains, a hop-skip-and-a-jump, to Chicago - 15 minutes to Chicago's Loop via train or car. Bus line is also 2 blks away. Also, Lyft and Uber are available here, typically - 15-$18 to get to West Loop or Downtown Chicago. 15-18 minute drive to West Loop and/or Downtown Chicago! Weekend evenings could be noisy until 1:30 AM or so with the bar being close. We sleep very hard at night, as we are so busy every day and tired late at night and the music doesn't bother us (ends @ 9 PM wk days and 10 PM Fri/Sat (Outdoors), then some days the music moves to the inside club and/or sidebar inside. There is some soundproofing. If you are a musician and want to play music, it's ok to play in and outside, respectably, electric instruments can only be played during the day and early evening.
