So if our calendar shows no vacancy for this cabin, please inquire about Bear Cabin. Both cabins are identical. Think of Camp Garoga as a log cabin condo. Meticulous and affordable(priced just higher than hotels in town yet offering SO MUCH MORE!). The cabins are connected back to back to each other with Moose Cabin facing west and Bear Cabin facing east. In regards to amenities both cabins are completely separate from each other with their own driveways, private screen porch, fire-pit and gas grill. The likelihood of seeing the other guests is slim. There is an additional $35 jacuzzi fee for a 2-3 night stay and an $50 additional fee for 4-7 night stay. This fee is not secured through Airbnb and is due on arrival. **NEW** Because of a high demand of guests looking for snowshoe rentals we have purchased some high-end SNOWSHOES that are now available for rental. Please inquire about availability($10/day per set. $30/wk per set). A liability/replacement waiver will need to be signed on arrival to cover lost or damaged snowshoes. Some guests have mentioned the quality of the water and have expressed concern. Well water isn't like city water and does have a different taste, but the water is VERY safe to drink(as most people in the area use it) and is excellent for your skin and hair. If you prefer not to use the tap water for drinking, we do supply an unlimited supply of fresh drinking water(which is delicious) Pets are not allowed in any of our cabins as 2 of our housekeeping staff(mother and daughter) are highly allergic. Character, warmth, and charm are the cornerstones behind the very idea of Camp Garoga. We wanted to create an inviting, cozy, and AFFORDABLE space for guests who wish to explore ALL of what the Adirondack's can provide. Whether you're looking to enjoy a long romantic weekend or a week long vacation for the your adventurous family, Camp Garoga offer so much more than a hotel ever could and it won't disappoint. Upon pulling in the driveway you will notice the care and attention to detail starting with the traditional rustic adirondack style twig work rails on the screened in porch. Reminiscent of the historic "great camps" from the onset of Adirondack lodging. The comfortable screened in porch offers privacy as well as a sitting area for reading and relaxing out doors and a picnic table for any meal of the day or playing one of the many board games provided. Most cabins in the area overlook the importance of the Adirondack screen porch, offering you solace from the springtime bugs and nighttime insects that would otherwise be attracted to your evening reading light. We have added 2 porch ceiling fans for your added comfort. Once you enter through the double French doors, nothing will disappoint! From the light balsam fragrance and immaculate accommodations, to the handmade soap and the natural pine woodwork we have created a cabin masterpiece. And it HAS to be clean! Our cleaning staff is spot on with keeping the cabins looking brand new each and everytime. Our guests continuously feel that they're the first ever guests and feel instantly at home. The bedrooms and living room space are ULTRA inviting with their unique cabin decor, clean linens, and quaint reading spaces. With the fireplace being the heart of the cabin. No detail is overlooked! Not only was Garoga built by the owners, but the rustic details inside are original as well. Specifically built for the cabins in a small wood shop on site(in the historic Adirondack great camp tradition), nearly every Adirondack inspired table, sign, and mirror was hand crafted by your host. A genuine love of the Adirondack style is pleasantly obvious throughout both the Bear and Moose cabins. Each cabin boasts 20 foot cathedral ceilings with natural pine woodwork, a loft, skylights, and antler chandeliers. Beautifully finished pine plank flooring hand engraved with bear paw prints or oak leaves throughout(depending on which cabin you're in) add unexpected charm. Comfortable bedding and cozy furniture offers you a relaxing and enjoyable stay. If you enjoy coffee or tea, Garoga has that covered! We supply as much as you need. If special arrangements need to be made in regards to birthdays, anniversaries, or even marriage proposals(we've had our share), your host is ALWAYS there to help make it happen flawlessly. Don't be afraid to ask. Our reviews on other sites speak for themselves as guests return year after year, season after season to the special accommodations of Camp Garoga.
