We love to go to farmers’ markets, go out for groceries, restaurants & occasionally to Escazu, downtown San Jose and Jaco for shopping and fun. We make a point to let you know so you are always welcome to come with and/or join us. •We only live a couple houses away in this growing international residential project nestled at about 700 meters/2100feet up in the mountains. Beautiful and serene place where people live & rent all year round since the 1990s. Also, on the this complex, depending on time of the year, from the house you can walk to and pick fruits... •One of the biggest/oldest trees (450y/o) in CR & meet el Sabio Macizo! •In season, pick mangos, avocados, mandarines, limes, oranges etc. •Coffee plantation (please inquire first as permission to visit is required) •10 feet tall water fall & pools up and down the creek for the adventurous •Treck up the mountain for jaw-dropping sunrises and sunsets! • For commodity & adventure and for the right fit we offer 4x4 SUVs, Toyota Rav4s that are fully insured & automatic. ---Please inquire first, never assume we have a 4x4 available, thank you.--- 2024 - Please note that we typically rent for +/- a week minimum especially in the high season -Low season, typically 80$ a day -High season (Dec./April), typically 120$ a day -We only ask a fair 500$ deposit. Ask us about tailored discounts for longer stays. • Taxi/cab rides are +/-15$ return from the complex. • The road to the complex is now paved but the last 700 meters. • We fully recommend a 4x4 for you to enjoy & feel safe while venturing and exploring the mountains of Costa Rica. ••••••SJO pick up/drop off••••• Please note that we are always honored to be the first ones to give you 'la bienvendia' in Costa Rica. Should your flight fall outside family hours (after 6pm), we would kindly send our trusted chauffeur Milton over who will bring you back for a fee and tip if there were to be delays etc. We'll be on stand by the moment you land and we will check you in personally once here on the complex. Pura vida! • Depending on the time of the year around this tropical rain forest setting you can expect to see and hear troops of monkeys (howlers, white faced), pandemonium of parrots, firefly twilight shows, a variety of different birds like toucans, eagles, owls etc. Cute hummingbirds throughout the property, butterfly galore, king toad, lizards of all sizes & colors coming up right to your doorstep to eat bugs & flowers around the house. Be prepared to dodge bats... just kidding they dodge you! Cicada/chicharras can be so loud you will think it’s not possible and the surprise list goes on.
