Ocean View is freshly renovated and beautifully decorated with a nicely appointed kitchenette on two acres of tropical island forest with lots of birds and butterflies. Kayak and paddle boards tours available. Moriah Harbor National Park is a short paddle away. Forbes Hill beach is a 4 minute drive & Tropic of Cancer beach is 8 minutes . Transportation to local beaches included. Check out two more rooms, Garden View 1 & Garden View 2. This is an upstairs unit with a private entrance. It has been beautifully renovated with tall windows, wood paneled ceilings, tile floors, custom tile in the kitchen and bath, with a soothing ocean color theme. Features wifi, new AC, ceiling fan, high ceilings, a full closet, new beds, fine linens and towels. There is a dining table and 2 chairs. The kitchen has all equipment and utensils needed to prepare meals. The room catches the fresh ocean breezes that wash across the island. The tall windows provide a direct view into the canopy of trees and the many species of birds that visit the garden daily. You can see the ocean from both the front deck and the bedroom windows as the island is less than 1/8 of a mile wide here. Guests are welcome to use a large deck with comfortable chairs for reading, sunbathing, relaxing and socializing with a Kalik (the local brew). The deck overlooks the gardens and catches the island breeze. The deck is also great for stargazing. The night sky is incredibly clear here on the island and the stars seem close enough to touch! Don't want to cook? Meals can be deliciously and freshly prepared for you on site, with advance notice. Meals are additional to the basic rental, but can be part of an all inclusive package. The Inn has water frontage on a beautiful mangrove creek with a floating dock to launch kayaks and paddleboards. We offer guided tours to spectacular island beaches in a national park that have no road access. Photographers and nature lovers will thrill to the lush gardens of native plants, flowers and fruits and the many species of birds and butterflies. There are walking paths that meander the two acre estate. Ronda & Steve live on the property and are available everyday. We are committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible! Our neighborhood has a local bar, an eatery, and a gift shop with handmade goods within a short walking distance. Tropic of Cancer Beach and Forbes Hill Beach are a short drive away. There is Bahamian music and dancing in Georgetown several nights a week. There are many restaurants that offer local dishes. For booking your flight to Great Exuma, our airport code is GGT. The airport is located outside of town, so a taxi or rental car will be necessary to reach Georgetown, the main hub on the island. Grocery stores, banks, liquor stores and other necessities are there. Turtle Creek inn is ten miles from Georgetown. There is no public transit system.
