Our Sunset Cabin is a beautiful, spacious open-concept property that easily accommodates 12 guests with its comfortable living spaces, fully equipped kitchen, large bedrooms, & back decks. When you stay here, you are centrally located to all outdoor activities & fun. Explore, experience, & enjoy the Hocking Hills & Wayne National Forest like you never have before. The space Upon arrival guests will be welcomed to a charming front porch, where our guests can relax outside after a day of exploring the state parks. You will walk into the Sunset Cabin to a beautifully remodeled space with knotty pined walls, hickory kitchen cabinets, and two comfortable living spaces. The entire cabin has been completely remodeled to make our guests feel like they are at a home away from home. There is a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar that gives you the ability to cook delicious, home-made meals throughout your stay. Just located off the living room is a beautiful master suite with a luxurious master bath with a large, romantic soaking tub and a double vanity sink. Take a relaxing bath after exploring state parks and partaking in outdoor activities. There are four additional spacious bedrooms where our guests can enjoy maximum comfortability in the Queen-sized beds. The second living room offers a great space to cozy up next to the electric fireplace with your loved ones while watching a movie marathon. One of the best features of the cabin are the two back decks, excellent for outdoor entertainment. You and your guests can grill juicy hamburgers or steaks over the grill. Sit back and relax in the hot tub to enjoy beautiful sunsets and get lost in the wide-open starry night sky. Spend time around the outdoor firepit sitting around a crackling warm fire sharing memories, laughing over drinks, and roasting marshmallows. Make sure you take advantage of the picturesque views of the sunsets over the rolling hills, the beautiful fall foliage, and the gorgeous starry skies because these are views that you don’t see every day. There’s no better way to do so than adding more outdoor entertainment! **Summer 2021 the Sunset Cabin will have a pool where our guests can soak in the sun!** There is so much to experience & explore! The Sunset Cabin is a short 30-minute drive to the main Hocking Hills State Parks. Must see attractions include Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle’s Hollow, and Rock House. Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski State Forest, and Moonville Tunnel are a short 15-minute drive from the property, great for sightseeing or spending the day on the lake. Drive 5 miles into town to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or Hocking College. We are a short 20-minute drive from Ohio University, great for parents and alumni visiting Athens. ATV enthusiasts, mountain bike enthusiasts, and hunters are all welcome! Wayne National Forest offers over 75 miles of designated trails for off-road riders. The Dorr Run Trail Head is 5 miles away. Ask us about our other ATV Friendly cabins and lodges. When you book our Sunset Cabin, you are booking a property that gives you ample opportunity to explore, experience, and enjoy Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest. The property is centrally located to Athens and Logan, Ohio. You are located in close proximity to the main Hocking Hills State Parks, Wayne National Forest, Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski State Forest, Moonville Tunnel, Nelsonville Historic Art District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, Hocking College, and Ohio University. Guest access Guests have access to the property and the cabin. No other guests will be sharing the property or the home with you. Other things to note Our rates are based on a minimum occupancy of 8 guests. Any additional guest, is an additional $25 per night per guest. If the correct guest is entered at the time of reservation, rates are automatically populated. If incorrect guest count is entered, reservation must be updated. Children 3 and younger stay for free. 2 Night minimum for Weekend stays – Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Holiday rates apply for Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. The taxes associated with the rental are 13.25%. We have both 7.25% sales tax and 6% lodging tax. IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT PROPERTY: -- SWIMMING POOL ---- The swimming pool is only open and available for use from Memorial Day Weekend (late May) to Labor Day Weekend (early September). When our pool is open, guests are required to sign a “Pool Use Agreement and Release, Waiver of Liability Agreement” at the time of check-in. -- ADDITIONAL FEES: ---- PET FEE: we allow up to 2 dogs at the property and require a $50 pet fee per dog (non-refundable). When going through the booking process, this is an option. If not added at the time of booking, we will request a payment. ---- Early Check-In: $25 fee per hour, up to 2 hours early. **must get approved. Management has ability to deny early check-in. ---- Late Check-Out: $25 fee per hour, up to 2 hours late. **must get approved. Management has ability to deny early check-in. ---- Shipping Fee: If guests leave items behind & they want it shipped back, guest is responsible for cost of shipping + $10 shipping fee. ---- Add Ons: Guest has ability to add on a variety of different add-ons, such as: Firewood Bundles, Dozen Roses, Bed of Rose Petals, Mixed Flower Bouquet, & a variety of other baskets.
