Description
One of Alaska's most beautiful destinations, an ideal location for any adventurer. We are located on MacDonald Spit with frontage on Kasitsna Bay and Kachemak Bay. A Water Taxi will bring you to the front door of the cabin nestled in the trees. You can enjoy the sunset over Kachemak Bay from your pillow. This cabin is our largest of the 5 cabins on site and a favorite for honeymooners! This Cabin has a king-size bed (or 2 twins) there are cots available for extra guests. The space Tidepool cabin is our newest constructed cabin replacing our large glamping tent and we are thrilled to have another excellent option for your stay in the lineup. We made a note to not compromise the view and added huge windows to offer you fantastic ocean views from the comfort of your bed! Watching the sunset on the ocean while lying in the king bed feels like something straight out of a fairytale! Cook with a view! Tidepool's kitchenette includes an electric 2 hob burner, electric kettle and a drip coffee machine. Dine alfresco with your own BBQ with views over Kachemak Bay. The cabin has an inside flushing toilet and a private outdoor shower attached to the cabin. Tidepool cabin is steps away from the beach and features private seating on both sides of the land to watch sunrise and sunset. Like all our cabins, you can see wildlife floating by from your pillow at high tide. A few steps down, you will be on the sandy beach of Kasitsna Bay where you can enjoy the fresh salty sea. We are off the beaten path. • Fly to Anchorage • Take an additional flight on Ravn Alaska to Homer, AK, Catch Alaska Air Taxi from Anchorage to Seldovia, or drive 250 scenic miles down the Kenai Peninsula to Homer, AK. Please note that road construction can cause long delays. • From Homer, bring your provisions to the Homer Harbor to board your water taxi to Between Beaches. • Our rustic and wildly unique cabins are nestled in the trees, surrounded by beaches. They are well equipped and we provide all of the necessities: Plugins for devices, Bed linens, towels, paper towels for the DIY sauna, and hot tub. Our kitchenettes are stocked with, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and dish soap. Coffee press, Folgers coffee, creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, foil, olive oil, zip locks, & a small spice selection. This cabin has oil heat, gas grill, plus 2 seating areas--one on each beach, clam rakes, and buckets. Access to the wood-fired hot tub and sauna. There is plenty of wood, an ax, and a chopping block nearby for your use. If there is anything you need while you're here, you can text or call us. Rowboats and Kayaks included in your stay! *Winter rates are due to our cabins being "dry". In Alaska, this means no running water. We provide unlimited drinking/cooking/dishwater and an outhouse, but no shower or flushing toilet in the winter months. Baña (sauna) also available all year round! Guest access Your check-in and check-out times depend largely on the tides. Our water taxi will bring you right to our beach. Be aware that it's possible that you may arrive at check-in on the same tide as the guests before you are checking out. While your hosts clean your cabin, be prepared to take a beach walk, check out the art studio, or enjoy a paddle on Kasitsna Bay! Other things to note We are pet friendly, there is a $75.00 dog fee per dog per stay. We ask that your dog is on a leash, not get on the beds and that you clean up after them.
