This beautiful mountainside retreat on the edge of the Pisgah National Forest is only minutes to West Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The apartment is new and designed for comfort, relaxation and restoration. Please read add’l info below. Please note that while we love both children and animals, our place isn’t suitable for either. Supervised children aged 12+ are welcome, however. We provide good coffee and tea, and you are also welcome to bring food to cook in the kitchenette, which has a small refrigerator, microwave and stovetop. Outside seating offers a nice place to relax with a good book and a cup of coffee---the sunrises are beyond beautiful!---and each season offers a new kind of splendor. Parking, yard, entire apartment We do not live onsite any longer but are easily available by contacting us through the app, and we have a wonderful property manager who lives in the area and is available to respond if there are any needs for troubleshooting or in-person assistance during your stay. We live in a very quiet neighborhood on a private drive on a mountain, yet only a mile from the Pisgah Highway. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are available, but car rentals make it easiest to get around and really enjoy all that this area has to offer. Our place is on a paved mountain road which becomes private about 50 yards before our driveway. When you drive up Mountain Drive, you'll see our house up ahead of you on the right just as you pass the set of mailboxes on your right. There is a small driveway in front of the house where our upstairs tenants park one of their cars, and a full driveway to the right of the house (use this driveway). It will look like you're about to drive off the mountain, but we promise you won't! Please pull straight ahead to park, hugging the right side of the driveway, and park facing down the hill. (This will leave our tenants room to park around you with nobody getting blocked in, and is the easiest position to exit the driveway from.)
