Gorgeous Ocean Views from a beachfront villa situated on the fabulous Rio Mar Resort The space After making about 20 trips to the same area, we bought our favorite villa. With approximately 900 square feet, the unit is part of what was once the Wyndham's suite hotel. Sold as condos in the early 2000's, private owners have been in charge of customizing their private units while keeping the outside public spaces immaculate. We absolutely love the third floor vantage point of the ocean, pool and palms trees. While enjoying coffee on the breezy balcony, it is possible to watch a cat sized iguana lounging in the lawn or next to the pool. The unit is complete with a king sized bedroom, a full bathroom, an open living space and a kitchenette. We are proud owners and are continually making improvements. We started by replacing the curtains, changing out the dining room table, and opening up the space, making it feel more open and airy. The bedroom has received a new ceramic "wood" floor. The living room has been updated with new tables from West Elm and a new Futon. We have recently added a 75" television and have removed the bathtub in favor of a walk in shower. We are also filling the unit with artwork from local artisans. Look for updates frequently in the pictures. As great as pictures can be, they cannot accurately describe the beauty of the view and the proximity to the ocean. If one is lucky, he or she will be here for a full moon - breathtaking in its own right. If for some strange reason, the weather is awful, the unit has games, and a television with Netflix and streaming apps for your entertainment. We also live 1 mile from the unit and we have an incredible amount of recommendations for food, drink, activities, and shopping in the immediate area as well as the San Juan metro region. Guest access You will have access to the entire unit, save one small which is used to store our personal belongings and cleaning supplies. Other things to note The Ocean Villas pools can accommodate around 100 people comfortably, although the most people I have ever seen at one time is around 20 - on a holiday. It's like having your own private resort. Also, we really want everyone to enjoy the place to the fullest, and we hate leaving as well, but we are not always able to extend checkout past 11 am on your last day. We have to give our cleaning staff time to get ready for the next guests. In the case that we are able to extend the check in our the check out, there will be $100 charge for either checking in up to two hours early or checking out up to two outs after the designated time.
